Well, I wouldn't say I started the "rumor", but I was wishfully thinking / speculating about it since 2012. I found the thread I made:

I don't think it will be a Detroit themed album. I just think he has so much Detroit shut lately for two reasons, one: he's been sucking off Detroit since he started rapping, and two: they're in the shitter having just declared bankruptcy. What could happen though is that he donates all the money his new album makes to help Detroit, not that a few million dollars would do much. Plus Em is greedy as fuck.

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
