why dont other rappers use em's beats?

how come em's beats never get used on rappers mixtapes these days, is it because there afraid they cant beat it? LOL. or maybe cuz its the type of beats he makes or something, can someone help...?

They do so occasionaly: like on this page there is a post about Freeway using "Cleaing out my closet" and i saw Lupe Fiasco used "Lose Yourself" . But yeah, the reason is obviously because ppl will always compare it to Eminem and chances are it will be an unfavourable comparison.

yeah thats the exact reason, i mean could you honestly see a rapper using the way i am beat on a mixtape and destroying a classic lol people will just call the mixtape junk for that one song, so yeah stay clear, i will never rap over an em beat, simply outta respect for his hard work lol cuz he MURDERD them lol

On a sidenote, do you guys remember Tim Westwood trying to fuck up Asher Roth's freestyle set by playing only Em beats and then switching them at the most awkward of times? I didnt actuually watch it but I heard all about it. Also do a search on youtube that comapres Lil Waynes freestyle and Emine's one; you'll see how ppl are jumping off waynes dick faster than Usain Bolt.

Use an instrumental like Paid In Full, 187, Deeez Nuuuts, and about a million more, and you can try freestyling to them. What about We Made You? As The World Turns? Real Slim Shady? Any song on Relapse.. Its just different.

You've got a point. Em's beats are far more testing and are usually not terrific intstrumentals on their own unlike a track, for example, like "Run this town" which alot of cats can sound dope spitting on.
