Lupe Fiasco tries too much to stand out, IMO. Maybe I don't listen to him enough to understand him fully, but his style ain't necessarily appealing to me. He tries to "appeal to the general audience", not just the "hood people", which is great in some ways, but seems to desperate an attempt to be unique.

You should definitly give him a chance and listen his mixtapes and his two albums.

Lupe is a great rapper among the best and he doesnt even know it. He is definitely one of my favorite. He cant beat eminem though. He doesnt have that fire in him like eminem does. If they were to freestyle or put out diss songs eminem would destroy him.
