2pac will always be remembered. He was the first of so many things, and his impact was timeless. Do people today write better messages and have more lyrical abilities? of course....
as far as lyrical wordsmiths of course Eminem is better
Putting feelings and messages on a track was pac's forte but honestly Joe Budden took it to a whole other level.

Its nice to read all the posts and beliefs that believe have, this was a topic i chose for a few reasons and they r as follows

A) Eminem has a few songs that are long lasting, Pac has wayyy more (im not listing them u already know)

B) If Pac was still spitting rhymes (still alive) u think he'd be cool with Eminem or u think he'd drop a diss?

C) And this is just for me really, Pac IS still aliive and Will come back to claim his place, he came a long way from Humpty Hump video, to be knon as the "Greatest" Oh and Ps, those who think that Jay-Z should even be on the same page as anyone who can spit, u r less than a fan of hip hop, there r dudes on this forum id rather hear rap!!! :y: :y: :y: :y:

Who's better? Both are incredibly GREAT. The most talented rap stars ever. But I think 2Pac is a little better.

Eminem is more talented with actual writing and performing.
The impact either will have on you depends on YOU.
Em for me.
I'm personally not a fan of Pac's style. His lyrics just didn't do anything to hold my attention. I would never understand what he went through and the people he was speaking to because I live in a 100% white neighborhood and I might go months at a time without seeing someone who is so much as dark skinned.
So the stuff he was talking about will not resonate with me like it will with many of you.
Em is more universal I think, because it's easier to just enjoy his crazy rhymes while not knowing the first thing about the man behind them.

Same reason why he's not in my top 5. Still a great rapper though :b:

I think Pac is really overrated, but I still like both of them
