If it were not for accent relapse would have been better than recovery it would have been as good as sslp.

but thats my opinion.

Some songs have good lyrics but the voice is why i cant listen to it.

Im hoping his next album will be more like relapse with no accent.

but seeing how poorly relapse sold compared to recovery its unlikely.

I like it a bit more than I did when it first dropped, but I still can't bring myself to totally 'love' it, and I will always maintain the opinion that Recovery is 1000x better than Relapse, and the sort of Eminem I want to listen to.

On every Eminem album (yes, even Encore) you will ALWAYS be guaranteed a couple of great/amazing songs, and my favs off Relapse are definitely these five;

3 A.M
Same Song & Dance
Stay Wide Awake
Deja Vu
Beautiful

^ Those are the only songs from it that I can imagine still liking in a few years time.

Em says he doesn't care about sales. He made Relapse the way it was, even after being gone for so long, obviously he didn't care.

But then fans pushed him the other way. Judging by 2.0 Boys, he sounds like he doesn't care again, with the seemingly harsh shots at people, so hopefully he goes back to Relapse without an accent. :y:

That would be good but issue is in today's music hardcore real stuff wont sell. Songs like love the way you lie will do big not songs like The Way I Am or guilty conscience. In 2000 people want those types of songs now days is opposite. The new generation of kids suck its all pop music.

He should go back to what he used to do.

MMLP was very dark album but had one light song for a singe to invite peple into the album.

Not to say recovery is same most people who like love the way you lie and buy album never hearing eminem before will soon find out most of his songs are nothing like the first single.

I agree. I've always viewed Relapse as a more violent SSLP, with an accent. It just reminds me of SSLP a lot.

Must Be The Ganja is a great song, and extremely underrated.

If it weren't for the accent 'Relapse' wouldn't have been Relapse. Let alone, nothing would have rhymed at all. lol.

I never really understood all the hate this album is/has/was getting. I understand if it is something that people just don't prefer to listen to. But to completely dismiss it and ignore it for what it is.. is just pure ignorance. Most people were just wanting another exact copy of SSLP or MMLP and it didn't happen. So people got upset.

Anyways... I would really like to hear rest of the Relapse 1 and 2 sessions.

Me too, I want Koolo to get his hands on Relapse 2 so badly.

I don't really get how it's like The Marshall Mathers LP, but I understand how it's kinda like The Slim Shady LP.

i think maybe t in the park as well

:facepalm

Uh, no.

Those verses have absolutely NOTHING in common stylistically with the verses we see on either album.

The crazy lyrics he had on MMLP is much like he had on Relapse.
And flow on songs like Stay Wide Awake is just :worship:
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Thats not true at all. In fact music in 2000 was more pop music oriented than it is today.
