Next album should be centered around the "Retirement" theme

Postby RainMan44 » Jun 10th, '11, 05:52

At this point, I think since he's run out of stuff to really talk about, there is still one thing. As much as I hate the thought of it being his last, he can make this his final album, and center the themes and topics around that. He can reflect on his career on a bunch of tracks, reflect on shit he went through during his RAP career, etc. He can talk about how at one point he basically ruled the world, had kids all around the world bleaching their hair, him getting blamed for shit, etc. That way, he can talk about most the shit he's talked about throughout his career. He can bring back the "music doesn't make kids do stupid shit" theme in songs such as Who Knew, etc. He can also have a funny lead single like old times.

Seems like it would be a good idea. Thoughts?
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

Also put in a couple concept tracks like Stan in there, and you're good.

It's like planning your funeral. Sooner or later it will come, but for now you don't even wanna think about it.

Pretty much the only way he can make another complete album without talking only about depriving hoes of food and being white trash :y:

He's very inconsistent in the indications he gives us of when he's going to retire. Probably just fuckin' with us. I don't think he'll be retiring for at least a few more years. It seems like he wants to bring Slaughterhouse to the top.

Though when the time comes that he does choose to retire, I believe the album may be something like this.

That's a very strong concept, but it should be saved for the album that he really considers his last one.

Nope, he shouldn't do that. No one would believe him, at least not me. It's way to early for a retirement. We all know he'll be around for many years yet.

That would be like conceding defeat. Like he's accepting that he cant look outside of himself for inspiration to make music. If he could only harness the environment around him, find inspiration from real world events; just think outside the box and come up with solid concepts instead of repetitive themes... I know Eminembase has been making this point for a while now.
His skills are still top notch imo, and he's still got the capacity to put out a large body of work. He just needs to check his songwriting, he'll continue to back himself into a corner if he keep writing about himself and his personal struggle until he's got no where else to go.
Put this in your signature if you want Jekil_N_Hyde to kill himself live on TinyChat to boost TR's popularity

When We Made You came out everyone was saying they were getting tired of the comedy singles.
