Eminem's set list complaint

Postby shadymathers313 » Aug 7th, '11, 23:48

First i just want to say that i love the fact that Em is performing live again and you can see that he is enjoying it as well on stage and getting better and better with each performance. My one problem with his performances is that he seems to be doing the same set list at every festival/concert he performs at. I understand he wants to play his new Recovery tracks and and classics like Stan and The way i am, and i have no problem with that. Id just like to see him play some different songs from each performance b/c you could say that each show is basically the same. Why not perform some different songs from the SSLP and MMLP like Role Model, Still dont give a fuck, Marshall mathers, or even Bad Meets Evil, since he is performing with Royce for the EP? id just like to see something new when i see these videos people post on youtube.

what do you guys think?

I'm fine with the same songs, I think Em did a great job putting together the setlist, I just wish he'd actually perform the whole song for some of the great ones like SFTM, Kill You, COMC, Fight Music, and Stan [and Space Bound, which obviously isn't in the same category as those but is his new single, and I think he should do the whole song]. It seems like the only songs he performs all the way through are Recovery songs, 3 AM, and Lose Yourself. While I get that festivals have strict time restraints on the performers, and since Em is huger than huge people want to hear as many songs as possible, I wish he would perform less songs, but more of the songs he does do.

Well, he doesn't perform for the people looking at the videos online, he performs for the people at the festivals. And most of those people probably haven't seen him perform his usual set list :) And if he suddenly performs other songs, people will probably complain because they expected certain songs..

At general music festivals, You play your hits.

It's a different story at your own Concerts. You know your fan's have heard all your catalogue of work. So, you can be more versatile with your setlist.

i understand that it is a music festival, it just would be a little refreshing to play a couple different songs. you can do that and still play your hits.

hopefully if Em does decide to do his own tour he will change up his set list from show to show or tweak the set list a couple times. but you gotta admit it is getting a little stale hearing the same songs over and over again.

here is a good question, if you could watch em perform live one of his albums in its entirety which one would you pick?

id love to see MMLP. what about you?

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?

I agree that he has done a GREAT job with picking out the songs to perform and I really wish he would perform more whole songs than he does...BUT, you gotta understand, he can't perform 20 different songs every performance I mean you gotta go easy on him.

Just be happy that he has an amazing setlist and he's having fun and getting better at the same time...and more importantly, he's healthy again.

Ok let's count how often he did this setlist aka this show? No more than 50 times. So if he did an actual tour he would also do the exact same setlist. What#s the big deal? Everyone else on tour is doing just what he does.
August 22 2013 - from Berlin to Paris, 400€ spent just for Eminem. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT!
