Will it really be possible for Em to be "back"

Postby Shady80 » Dec 30th, '12, 03:21

At this point of his career, no matter what he puts out in the next few years, will it even be possible for Em to be really "back"? I have a feeling that even if he puts out something like TES, it will be viewed as "an attempt to get back to his old self" by many people. Will it be possible after Recovery for him to gain back his "hardcore" and "badass" image, especially at the age of 40?
Sorry for the bad topic but I was bored. If you dont like it then dont read it.

You really should've been the last sentence at the beginning, defeats the purpose of putting it at the end after someone's read it...

Sorry... No i mean how everyone is looking for the Eminem Show style. How he wouldnt be afraid to say what was on his mind and not be politically correct. i.e. in his more recent interviews and everything how hes so careful not to offend anyone (About how much he respects all of the pop singers and everything). And how the public now views him as more of an inspirational and soft artist (even if he isnt). Would he be able to get rid of that image even if he wanted to?

We just want something as good. Not the same style.

Yeah I agree. I mean more along the lines of his image though. Hes said many times throughout the early parts of his career that he didnt want to be grouped in with the "TRL Crowd" as he called it. That has happened to a certain extent, and I cant see Em liking it.

So you're talking about his image then? Not his skills or style? Just being perceived by the media as the "bad guy" again?

Probably not.

Maybe you should come up with a clear question and topic before posting

Sorry guys yeah this was a bad post. :'( I meant like his overall "everything" (style, image, music, etc.) Basically what I meant was "will his fans recognize when he is truly back, or always compare his newer material to what he used to be like". My main question just kinda got lost in my rambling :facepalm

Does he need to be back in the way you just described it? Honestly if that happened authentically then I'd turn on him, because he'd be 40 and acting like a 20 yr old idiot.

why everybody thinks he is going to make another TES or another Recovery??

Can't you see he changes in every single album?? I think that's one of his strengths.

What makes you think he doesn't genuinely respect said pop artists?
