Twin Songs on MMLP2

Has anybody noticed that a lot of the songs on MMLP2 are twins? In that that there are two songs with very similar/identical topics but are from a different perspective.

For example, Brainless and Legacy. Both deal with how he was bullied as a child and how he overcame it. However, Legacy is more from a "Marshall Mathers" point of view, giving us a more realistic depiction of what happened, while Brainless gives us the "Slim Shady" version, where he stocked up on torture tools to get back at his bullies.

Another example is The Monster and So Far. Both are about Em's dealing with fame, but the Monster has a more somber and serious tone to it, while So Far is goofy and self-deprecating (Em makes fun of his being out-of-touch with society).

So Much Better and Stronger Than I Was both deal with female relationships, but once again, Stronger Than I was provides a very serious and uplifting feel to it, while So Much Better is Em yelling about killing every woman on the planet with a "mishain gun".

Evil Twin serves as the gap to bridge these two personas together, hence why it's the last track on the album.

Thoughts? Am I right or am I just reaching too far?

Either that, or its great minds think alike. But my mind thought of this on the date the album dropped, so I'm getting pretty lonely on this platform of greatness.

That's why I liked Evil Twin at the end. After all of the swapping between the normal/fucked up styles he finally "admits" that they "are the same" after wondering how the hell he went from songs like Brainless to STIW. It's a cool way to wrap everything up.

it's a genius concept, i did for a time, wonder why brainless and legacy seemed to be about the same kind of thing, but never took it any further than that.. i would like to someone to fully explain all the pairings though, just to see if its more than a fans theory

No. Sound-wise, yes. But concept wise, no.

Maybe Love game is a "twin" in itself, seeing as kendrick is the only guest rapper on the album, maybe he's the twin, or its just a null point. A metaphor for passing the game onto kendrick in the future. Which in that case it could be paired with berzerk (shout out to kendrick *push*)

He should have let Kendrick end the song with his verse if it was a torch passing tbh. I just love to picture the moment where they were in the studio where Em laid his first verse and then gave it to kendrick, and then they're kind of 1:1 at that point....then Em just spews out this ridiculous last verse and makes the song so lopsided in an amazing way haha

Haha i read an article(or listened to an interview i cant remember) on kendrick and he said that Em called him in and gave him the verse and left him to do his thing, and Em came back and was like wtf? cus kendrick thought he wanted him to record a hook

His closing line on "Evil Twin" is SUCH a slap in the face to every critic in the past. It's kind of like a, "You actually fell for that alter ego shit, dumb asses muahaha"

Nah i doubt it.. He gave kendrick loads of tracks to choose from, I doubt if he knew his second verse was on it that he'd picked that one.. guy got murdered

So Much Better and Love Game are similar in a sense. In So Much Better he's done with the girls and thinks he'd be happy without them. But in Love Game, he admits he can't do without them and no matter all the INFINITE HATE he gets, he still keeps going back to the love game.

In a sense, MMLP2 is more of a twin album to MMLP and TES though, in general. A lot of the songs are like reverse images of past Eminem songs.
