Could Em Keep Up With Slaughterhouse ?

Postby ,-,'-{Bar}-',-, » Jan 19th, '10, 19:19

on a straight lyrical track.

eminem has went against was the mainstream see's as the best this in recent times (kayne, drake, weezy) and killed them, right there he beat what the average listener thinks is the Greates new comer, The Greatest of all time, and the most creative. and em killed them, then wehn some people didnt see it he went on 1 on 1 with weezy...and uh killed him.

back in the day he went on with jay-z and eh...killed him.

royce is the only guy to beat eminem in his prime. thats basically fact.

not counting eminem's wack shit here so no one be like "but 50 cent was better on this!" im talking about eminem on top of his lyrical game and imo hes back there.

so..now the question, on relapse 2 or on slaughterhouses next album we get A Slaughterhouse And Eminem Collaboration....could he otushine all 4 of them on 1 track ?

I'm a lil biased, but from a neutral position, perhaps. Depends what kind of track it is, I mean, Em has to step his punch line game up on a track with Slaughterhouse. In terms of flows and rhyme schemes he'll have his hands full with Crooked I and Royce. On an emotional track he'll have his hands full with Joe Budden. On a straight lyrical track, it could go all ways. Bottom line, it would be a lyrical wet dream.

Drake beat him on Forever

but I feel ya and that's opinion

no he could not, but if the mainstream heard it then they would say Em wins because the mainstream isn't about thinkin it's about flow and energy which Em has more of than them

he wouldn't be destroyed but he doesn't do tracks like they do

Imo they would make him look quite silly unless he goes back into Bad Meets Evil mode

lol, hahaha. thats probably the dumbest thing i've read today. it's even dumber then what you said about 3am being worse then CAB and WMY. Thank you man, you've given me some laughts today :y: :y:

Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

I don't know, I think he could but I agree with Zu that he'll have his work cut out for him. I don't think it's impossible but he'll have to bring 120% effort into it. I think they could all be even, but not one over the other. But if all of them bring their A game because the track would have all amazing Mc's, it could go either way. But it all depends what kind of track they do. So he might, might not.

well i have to dispute Drake outdid him on Forever

Xzibit was about even with him on Bitch Please 2
Whats The Difference, yeah i didnt like ems verse as far as lyrics
alright but nuttin special

and as for Zu, Budden is deff on some Emotion shit. but i think Em can match that if he so chose especially talking about his drug addiction and the lose of proof. I think he can deffinitly step up his punches to what they use to be if he wanted as well, i think he just doesnt want to. Crooked comes alright for me. Joel got some alright ones

it comes down to Joe and Em around tie on Emotional shit
Em and the other 3 on some punches.

i say Em deff can keep up with them if not surpass them if his heads in the game :y:

Well I don't agree Royce beat Em in his prime.

Firstly I don't agree that 97-00 was Em's prime and secondly, I don't agree Royce bettered him on any track. But I don't state that's fact. So don't be so arrogant as to state "that's basically fact". No, it's basically not. It's very basically, opinion. Your opinion.

As to whether 'if he could keep up with them'. Question is, can they keep up with him. And I think no. Em's flows at the moment are... Orgasmic. I mean recently his actual lyricism hasn't even been that spectacular apart from the rhyming but his flows make it all sound other-worldly.

There's no chance of anyone outshining him with his current focus IMO.

He outshined Redman on "Off the Wall", he obviously beat Jay on "Renegade" despite the fact his verses were old, he didn't change them and Jay had a chance to hear them and outwrite them... Just shows how much better he is than Jay-Z indeed.

Then this year he outshined Kanye, Wayne and Drake on "Forever". Not that any of them are fantastic lyricists anyway. But then he outshined Wayne on his own album track. He also outshined Mos Def and Black Thought - Two much better lyricists than any of the forementioned (Jay included). That was just at a little cypher with some jokey lyrics.

I think the only guy with a chance of being on a level with him back in the day was prime Royce or prime Mos Def. Royce definitely hung with him and in some people's opinion even beat him. I don't think he ever beat him but he definitely held his own.

well IMO Drake's verse's lyrics>Em's flow but even so we'll call that a tie

and I think Xzibit, Redman, and Royce are the only guys to get him

I dont give a fuck if your verse was written by God himself, if your delivery is boring as Drake's on Forever, I aint listenin to it. Plus, his lyrics werent nuthin special. I think its pretty stupid that people consider this Drake a good lyricist, and even more stupid that you could think he could possibly outshine Eminem on anything. But whatever.

Well IMO

Em's lyrics>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Drake's lyrics.
Em's flow>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Drake's flow.

I don't think Drake's lyrics were as good either.

"Last name ever, first name greatest"... Wow. Basic cocky shit, I can do that. His Malcom line was okay but I've heard similar from plenty, it's nothing spectacular.

I don't think anything he said was as creative as Em's. Em's rhyming alone was more interesting.

"Bashing in the brains of these hoe's and establishing a name as he goes..."

"The passion and the flame is ignited, you can't put it out once light it!"

and the whole tooth-filling bit. Much more creative / interesting IMO.

I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about Slaughterhouse but I've never actually heard any of their tracks. Can someone hit me up with a link to something good of theirs, or some of Budden's 'emotional stuff' that has been mentioned. Appreciated. :y:
