i feel like relapse is realy overrated,idk why people lie to themselves,honestly for a comeback album after 5 years , i was really dissappointed especially with the content and his annoyin accent,thanks god Beautiful save it this album with a couple of other songs,so yeah i really feel its overrated people saying its crazy im still bumpin it and shit,i dont think this album deserves all the respect people are giving it,

Relapse is by far his best album lyrically.

It took me until just recently to really understand the album as a whole. And I'm glad, because it really has hit me that the tracks (for the most part) are really really well thought out. And there's little fillers.

Kidding. Anyway...

Relapse is easily his most lyrical album. That's not even questionable, honestly. However, he seemed sort of awkward on some tracks, and the accent is probably a reflection of that. The Slim Shady persona seemed forced at times, and the couple of filler songs sort of dented the album as a whole.

However, I'd say that since it's a concept album, it should be evaluated differently, and for that reason: I believe Relapse is underrated, for sure.

Relapse 2 should take care of the issues that people had with Relapse though, I believe.

if wer going on straight lyrics infinite blows anything else of his out of the water... multis, flow, punchlines, wordplay, internal rhyme, vocabulary, metaphores... anything u could think of is loaded into the songs on that cd lol

now to stay on topic.... i love relapse... its not as good as TES, MMLP or SSLP, but i think its still good... its lyrics r good and i dont mind the content even though wev heard dugs and killing before from him... if it wasnt for the accent and a CAB and we made you, id say its classic

Rock Bottom has amazing emotion, great concept we hadnt heard before. and the multies were fantastic. lyrically great
