I only saw someone here post it. Never actually heard about it in an interview or something.

Makes sense though, I believe it

Yeah I believe it to be true.

He said he was making music in that period... 07ish. And he had songs stockpiled, the rumours didn't come from nowhere.

They then said in 08 because I remember, that he had scrapped like 90% of the shit he had = That was King Mathers.

Only one he kept for Relapse was "Beautiful" - That's why it's slow, growly, simplistic, depressive etc. "My Darling" and "Careful What You Wish For" are also from that time period, they were included as bonus tracks. And is why those three tracks sound the same. Same tone, same production from Em.

But basing off of the tones of those tracks and much better production from Em than Dre's bland shit and the fucking lunacy of "My Darling" I'm a bit sad we won't ever hear the album in its true form. He said he wants to put his life into his art - Well then he should of put out King Mathers as that was a true representation of him at that time.

He could of put it out in 07 then still ended up on Relapse in 09. But then maybe we wouldn't of had Relapse 2 so maybe it's a good thing.

But I still wish I could hear it. Probably missing out on some amazing shit. Purely because of how dark he was at that time. Ca$his said it was the best album he'd ever fucking heard!

I tell you what, If i was a rapper and the best rapper in the game signed me because he liked my shit...I would probably think eminems shit was the most amazing shit id ever heard even if the shit was aweful. Your awe struck and your in the studio with a man who is legend. That can alter your perception for sure.

Im glad it didnt come out. beautiful wasnt that good of a track. the rhymes were simple and if he had come out with that album, then relapse...he would have 3 really good albums, and 2 bad ones. And that could tarnish his "greatness" a lot.

However, I think he should take the best verses from that time period and throw them all together on an album...a mixtape or some shit.

Eminem presents : Intoxicated

@derdypk - What you need to do is, become a rapper, be good enough to catch em's ear, get signed, go to his home studio, and convince him to play you some of that shit.

Not toooo difficult.

I bet Dre and Kim and D12 heard EVERYTHING too. ugh

I maybe one of the few people that believe this album actually did existed at some point, I just think that he changed the direction to Relapse and keep some songs as bonus tracks.

Em's swagg would be on a hundred thousand trillion if he named an album King Mathers...title is too dope to pass up. Just think, we'd all be bumpin that king musik instead of the South Park horrorcore.

He was obviously making tracks during 07-08 and was probably planning an album for 2008 but it was never called king mathers.
