I feel like Eminem has a lot more white fans listening to his music then black fans regardless of rap being dominated by black people.

Plus I was bumping Cold Wind Blows today when I left the gas station and a bunch of black people looked at me funny.

I dont know. I know a lot of black people and they all listen to rap religiously. I get into debates with them a lot over who the best rapper is. It's like they don't give Em enough credit just because he's white. They all seem to think Wayne is regardless of how many times Eminem out does him on a track. I'm sure some black people listen to Eminem but i Just feel like more white people do.... idk not being racist or anything even if it sounds that way. just an interesting point to me thats all - that Eminem has a lot more white fans then the average rapper b/c of his skin color.

A black person might be more prone to skip an Eminem track on their shuffle then a white person.

He's a white artist, so of course that's probably true but so what. There was probably a lot more black people listening to NWA at the time too.

It doesn't really matter, threads like this just create pointless race comparisons and debates and what the fuck for. There's more white people in America than black, probably (in fact very very likely) more white people listen to Kanye and many BLACK artists too.

In response to your last post - Saying Em has more rap fans because he's white is nonsense. He has as many fans as he does because of his [url]music[/url]. His skin colour was a bigger DISADVANTAGE when starting out. The odds were far more stacked against him and he faced rampant racism even when he broke into the mainstream, from magazines and the general culture at large.

Saying Em is as big as he is because he's white is a cop-out. No artist sustains 11 years of dominance from skin colour. He's an incredible lyricist and musician and incredibly far ahead of most other rappers (and musicians in general). that is why he has a lot more fans.

If it were down to skin colour don't you think Paul Wall would be just as big?
