Em needs to perform solo

i understand in some songs he needs a hype man...but i think he over uses a hype man

thats really my only problem i think...he's a great performer...energetic

but i think he needs to own the stage...he doesnt own the stage anymore....idk...so maybe if he tried to spit some songs alone on the stage...just the spot light on him...maybe that would help....idk tho

I dont think he is comfortable on a stage on his own,even when he was talking at Oxegen he seemed nervous or something

he really isn't a great performer anymore. I don't know what it is, but he looks really uncomfortable on stage. And using the backing vocals is horrible. And a lot of rappers don't do that anymore. It's more live. He didn't do it until Encore came out. ANd parts of TES. But during SSLP and MMLP he was vicious live.

People who saw both him and Jay perform at those festivals came away more impressed w/ Jay. becuz he doesn't use backup vocals and he has a live band. And at parts when he gets tired later in the show he'll bring Bleek in to hype sh1t up a lil.

Em is just a horrible performer now. I feel sorry for anyone going to those stadium shows. It's a reason that guy doesn't tour. He hates it, so why do people expect his shows to be any good? Right now there's hype becuz he hasn't performed in a while, but when that dies down he's going to get a lot more horrible reviews from people who see him perform.

not to mention a lot of his catalog isn't made for live performing and some of his songs like Real Slim Shady/Without Me/My name is are outdated

Eminem use to be a great performer. Now I have no clue outside of money why his people even allow him to perform anymore. I've never seen a star of his magnitude look so out of place on a stage. And some of his fans like me grew up and don't want to hear sh1t like Wont Back Down and Cold WInd Blows. A lot of his catalog is juvenile. The main difference between him and jay is jay's hits are timeless. Most of EM's hits are outdated. Plus Jay has 11 albums of material w/ only 2 or 3 of those albums being trash. He has 8 solid albums to choose material from.

I think it's just Mr. Porter that's the problem. He was awesome with Proof, hell, he was awesome with Rihanna when he did LTWYL at E3.

It's just that Mr. Porter sucks.

Yup, that makes sense (bolded part), just because you have money you must flaunt it right?

That's probably the worst statement I've read here in a while.

Oh and if you don't want to listen to Cold Wind Blows and Wont Back Down then don't lol, just because you "grew up" doesn't mean other people have.

Oh and growing up (in the sense of people using the term referring to gaining maturity through age) has nothing to do with you not liking those types of songs, you haven't suddenly gained maturity just because you no longer find them funny, the only thing that's happened is your taste (of music, humour) has changed with age.

Age != Maturity

Sense of Humour != Maturity

I know a lot of people who still laugh at stupid crap they laughed at when they were kids, at the same time I know people that barely have a sense of humour at all when all they wanted to be when they were younger was a comedian -.-'

Now please stop whining about how much you hate Em as a performer, yeah he uses a backing track, as long as he's audible on top of the backing track I don't see the problem xD

T in the Park he had terrible mic problems to be fair, the people saying he was lip synching couldn't even hear him when he wasn't rapping either

if he was lip synching then you'd at least be able to hear the dude talk when the song is done -.-' (I was there btw so please don't come back with the "how would you know" bull crap).

yea....i think he is way uncomfy on stage...i mean he got better since last year...but honestly...he looks bored on stage...

he's just kinda goin thru the motions and there isnt a real connection with the fans anymore....everything he says feels scripted (i kno its all scripted but it shouldnt feel that way)....

the backing vocals dont bother me as much as everyone else...but i do agree it would be better if he just didnt have them...it feels like im listening to the CD on full blast rather than a concert performance...

some one said he should dress like a star...well thats up for debate...

Porter's pretty good, to me.
