His next album?

Postby Shady50 » Jul 30th, '10, 06:55

What do you think Em's next solo album will be like? I think he'll keep the fast flow, the punchlines, and the anger in his voice and he'll probably work with a wide range of producers again. I predict another single like Not Afraid instead of a poppy single. Maybe a couple new collaborations. I personally hope that his next solo album will have a perfect mixture of Eminem, Marshall, and Slim Shady. I'm guessing there'll be around 7 serious songs (On Fire/Cold Wind Blows), 4 meaningful songs (Going Through Changes/LTWYL), 5 funny songs (Rain Man/Medicine Ball), and 1 club banger (Crack a Bottle/Encore) kinda like Encore but with better lyrics. So what do you think? ;)

I hope he produces more songs by himself. Among many other things he produced most of the Eminem Show, The Way I Am, and Elevator (the best track from Refill imo).

I think there will be some more humor and some more songs with a more fluid, slower, more relaxed flow (like Business, Square Dance, 3:00 AM, etc), instead of the start/stop and fast flows we got a lot of on Recovery.

I'm betting we'll get another album by fall of 2011 at the latest.

He didn't produce Elevator. Dre did.

Anyway, I don't think we're getting a new solo album anytime soon because of D12, Slaughterhouse stuff (shame). I think it may be years time so it's pointless to talk about it now since there maybe some dramatic changes in that long time, you never know

Recovery will probably still be in the Top 20 when his next album comes out. This album has so many singles on it. So where will D12 find the time for there album's single. Interscope and Aftermath don't seem to want two albums out near the same time. But i'm hoping "Talkin' 2 Myself" is the next single. Then if there is a 4th, "25 to Life". But of these are the best shot to get to #1 on the chart.

But that's a bit off topic...the point is i don't think recovery is slowing down anytime soon. But still think 2012 he will put out another solo. He will be 39. Jay Z is 40 right now and i believe he was 39 with TB3 was released. So if Em put's out an album in early 2012 he will still be younger than Jay Z was when he put out Blueprint 3.

So people are making too much out of Em's age. People don't seem to make a big deal about Dr Dre's Age (45). Jay Z's Age (40). Why the big deal about Em's age (37).

No Love is pretty much confirmed as the next single. I think it will do ok, not a smash like LTWYL. It probably won't do much on Pop radio though. After that Space Bound should be single & then Talkin' 2 myself.

I'm with you on "No Love" that will do ok but it won't come close to "Not Afraid" or "Love The Way You Lie".

I'm holding out hope "No Love" is just a song they do a video for and not a single. Remember that video was planned long before LTWYL was confirmed as single #2. If say "Talkin 2 Myself" in a couple months out of the blue starts blowing up on radio then my guess is they would make that a single. I could be way off. I'm just thinking of that tweet from Eminem (cough. Paul.) about the no love video and it being confirmed ltwyl as the 2nd single. Maybe that idea has been scrapped since then. Who knows.

Also on your next point. The people i see pointing out Em's age seem to have a double standard when it comes to the african american rappers. I'm with you. As long as he is putting out good music. Keep it coming. I don't care if he's 70 and rappin.

I doubt they'll scrap No Love out of no where like that, it's the only non-single song from Recovery that still on iTunes top 100, it also received positive reviews from the fans, Em's camp has no reason to just scrap it, especially with the video half done already.

They're just pressed, people who use that + the "he sells because he's white" excuses are always the pressed fans from other artists

Yep. These people say "Eminem's white so he ages worse."

I'm like WTF? Eminem looks the same to me as when he was 26. I'm guessing at 50 he will look the same as he does now. 55 is when his appearance will start declining. I don't judge men and i really don't care what he looks like. He can be bald at 70 with a stutter and scars everywhere and as long as he put's out good music i wouldn't care.

nah I don't think so, he looks different but he's aging well. At 26 he looked like he was 16 or something :o & right now he looked younger than his age too, my friends all think he's in his late twenties (I don't plan on telling them he's 38 anyway)

I was reading a rolling stone mag with Em on the cover which was released like one week after SSLP came out.

It is a really good article and it mentioned how all these girls came up and hugged him and this one went in for a kiss on the lips. lol. That girl had some guts man. But i guess in small clubs back then the security wasnt as tight.

http://www.rapcentral.co.uk/eminem_d12Intervws8.html

Right about now, though, a roomful of Staten Islanders is going berserk. In the silence between songs, a young girl in the front row who's wearing a white baby T screams, "I love you!" Eminem walks over. "I love you, too," he says and bends down to give her a hug. Big mistake. The girl lays a kiss on his lips and sets off the girl next to her, who tears Eminem's head away and kisses him full on the mouth. "Oh shit," he laughs. "I'm going to jail tonight!" He launches into "Scary Movies," the B side to the independently released "Bad Meets Evil" single, and the audience raps right along. When he sits at the front of the stage, his pants are pulled at and his crotch is grabbed. "I touched his dick!" one girl boasts to her friend.

It's so weird that now Em has a daughter that age. Seriously. In a few years Eminem will be killing Hailey's boyfriends on records. :o
