Yeah the lyrics/flow on mmlp2 are fucking amazing. Its the beats and hooks that ruin it for me, I mean come on I thought we were passed the recovery beats (BME for example)

Because Bad Guy, Rhyme Or Reason, So Much Better, Asshole, Berzerk, Rap God, Brainless, So Far, Love Game, Headlights, and Evil Twin all have recovery beats, right?


MMLP2 production is great. Fact.

They honestly don't get enough credit, given the debacle of beats that featured on Recovery.

the beats on mmlp2 were amazing compared to recovery. recovery sounded like almost every song could go mainstream. just my opinion

^ i always thought that was so great about eminem, he made the beats somethin you could bump in the car, you know? His production i never felt defined him, i always felt he elevated the beats he was on. Even when you listen to the instrumental of White america, one my personal favorite beats he raps over, there isnt as much going on as one might think, compared to anything on say a Rick Ross album, who is praised for his production choices. A lot of rappers sound bad on beats like ones from MMLP because they simply dont stand out enough, but eminem has always elevated those beats.
