Hip Hop IS in a great place. Just because the focus is more on "Party Rap" doesn't mean the genre's doing terrible. There's ALWAYS been a good amount of party rap, and you can always find rappers you like, even if it's only in the underground. If you don't like some artists, don't listen to their shit. Nobody's forcing you to.

What are you talking about dude? This isn't 2007. Yeah there's a lot of club shit but because of the internet you don't have to listen to that if you don't want to. Hundreds of albums come out every year and a lot of them suck but some of them are great. There's so much good Hip-Hop right now and if you're sitting in the 90's then I feel sorry for you.

Keep in mind, Nas also collabs with a LOT of the artists most would consider garbage these days. Hip Hop Is Dead is probably how he felt at that particular point in time, but right now it's a LOT better compared to 2007.
