LOL because Em these days isn't energetic or jumping around the stage. Give me a break. :coffee:

Eminem's movements:

sprint; arm in the air; smash hand against chest like a crazed gorilla; look up; look down and brutally act as though he's masturbating. Repeat process.
"Oh, he'll give us what we need.
It may not be what we want."

It's a performance. And that's what you do to display your energy and involvement with the room.

i do hope one day you guys take your stan googles off. because this is just ignorance at this point.

Whatever. Apparently we look for different things in his performance. Agree to disagree.

What the hell are you talking about? At SXSW, Eminem was chanting shit like "Put your motherfucking hands in the air y'all!" I don't see how he isn't involved with the crowd. He probably doesn't want to do stage dives and shit like he used to because he's getting older and people can rip his ass apart. The fans were too far away from the stage for him to reach out his hand and give 'em high-fives anyway.

Elision wrote:Energetic, and actually making eye contact. jumping around all over the stage like he actually gives a fuck about his message.

Em has said multiple times that he feels 10x better because he can actually see every fan's face and look in their eyes because he's sober. He was constantly making eye-contact. Do you honestly want him to be jumping around the stage at this point in his career? He doesn't have to be jumping around the fucking stage to be passionate about his music.

Elision wrote:I do hope one day you guys take your stan googles off. because this is just ignorance at this point.

Ignorance? You're critiquing a man's movement on stage and whining about all of this stupid shit. He did a phenomenal job at rapping classic songs, something we've all been waiting for. Though you obviously have to find something to bitch about. Stop comparing a near 40 year old man to his prime. It's fucking ridiculous. You are the one that is being ignorant.

Damn. I saw the 50 cent show and I thought the crowd just didnt like 50. But with slaugtherhouse is was much worse. Damn. No wonder 50 walked out when the music stopped at wanksta and you could hear a cricket. The freestyle was akward too. Get on with it

Dude here's the thing, I really don't bring Tech up that much. It's just that everu time I do it's suddenly a huge deal. I talk about so many artists, and I take each and every one from a completely non-bias standpoint. This thread happens to be about Em's performance, and Tech happens to be the best performer I know. I was using him as an example. Not because I'm a "technician" but because I think of anybody else to better prove my point. If you do, that'd be awesome.

Now, as for you saying that Tech rarely moves at all. That's just false. Click on any video after searching "tech nine live" and you'll see that he actually moves around quite a lot. Albeit in place, but definitely moving nonetheless. He has certain tracks where he's particularly still, but it's deliberate for the sake of theater.

See, like this. I naturally want to use Tech as an example. Tech's older than Em and is (in my opinion) in his prime currently.

If Em stood in place and rapped without a hype man would you enjoy it more? I wouldn't.
Well that Underground performance was sick, from the Relapse opening party

edit: and when i think about it, i enjoyed that performance much more than this

Who the fuck cares about how he moves? Smh
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Because either he moves good and sounds average, or moves awkwardly and sounds awesome.

Audio wise and move wise, this is one of his best performances since his comeback though. The relapse ones were half lip synched and shit.

I remember the Underground performance, he literally stayed in the same spot throughout the whole performance.

When you scrutinise anything so closely, some might say searching with a fine tooth comb, you'll find imperfections and things you don't like.

Cut him some slack, would be my advice. We've got some incredible music in the last 3 years.
