Well shit, Eminem sounded exactly the same doing Till I Collapse as he did on the album.

So I guess this basically proves his voice is back to where it was at the beginning of the ambien problems but before everything really spiraled out of control into full blown addiction. That late 02/early 03 voice.

y'know, you people complaining about this still insist on watching the peformances. If you so very well know that Eminem is gonna put on an "average" performance, why watch and complain about it? I would never want to waste my life doing that.

exactly. The funny thing is most people would most likely be like "oh shit" if they had a chance to actually attend his show. He has no problem to sell out stadiums and you hardly see negative reviews from the people. They often talk about the best show of their lives actually. It's usually the people who watch youtube videos without a chance to attend the show that like to complain about everything.

^^ yeah you can't really judge from seeing youtube videos. You have to be THERE. I attended a Britney Spears concert, I know what I'm saying. (The woman barely shows any effort on youtube videos but when you actually see her you do notice that she actually looks like she gives a fuck about what she does.)

Also, I can't help but think about what most of you would have said if Eminem had forgotten his lines the way 50 did at times at the showcase. Hardly anybody mentions this at all, or dismisses it instantly. Had Eminem made this kind of mistake the majority of you would go postal.

As a live performer, Eminem peaked A LONG time ago. He doesn't really seem that comfortable on stage these days. Which might - to certain extent - explain why Em isn't performing that often nowadays.

However, when he doesn't scream every verse, he's still able to spit - almost - full verses. Best examples of this is the Letterman "Renegade" performance, the 2009 westwood freestyle, and most of his "stan" performances.

Well the sole reason he felt comfortable on stage back then was because he was high and just didn't care? he doesn't seem uncomfortable to me on stage these days....

And you can't really put the Lose Yourself song as an example, because that song is the vetry last of a 2 hour concert - naturally his voice fucks up and you can barely hear him anymore.

Umm if I was Eminem and I would be relying on my fellow rapper friend to back me up when I catch my breath and he doesn't do it because HE DOESN'T KNOW THE FUCKING WORDS (3 words TOPS at the end of each line)...yes I'd say it's an insult.

I don't get the "I got what I came for right? I got the money" speech before Em came out as well...that's an insult to his fans yes.

As I said, I'm pretty sure he's able to spit those verses fully. The fact you added the 90-minute shit only reinforces my original statement about him being older and to cut him some slack. If it would be difficult for me to do (which it would) then it's gotta be very difficult for Em. Yet he does it anyway. I'm sure Em knows his lyrics. Yeah Porter's there to help out and fill in words, but I'm sure if Porter wasn't there Em would be able to rap most of his songs perfect. He might miss a word or two sometimes but that's not a big deal. Almost every rapper punches out at the end and lets their hype man finish lyrics. It's not like Em only does it. Em filled in words for 50 and 50 even FORGOT HIS LYRICS. Who cared? Not many.

My delivery while rapping to an Em verse is usually the same as Em does it. I know Celebrity word for word, and when he screams I scream. It hurts like hell but it's very possible to do. Throw It Up is mostly calm, so you go at it calm until he shouts.
