Perhaps it's not so much that we're optimistic, but that you're pessimistic.

I have faith in my favorite artist. We all know how much talent and dedication he has. You have to have the feeling that he's going all out with this one. If someone like Em sets out to make the best possible work he can, then I know damn well that he of all people is capable of doing just that.

I has faith in him too, that's obviously why I'm here But to say this WILL be Eminem's best album ever when we haven't even heard a snippet from it ? I don't buy it. I think a bunch of people had 'feeling' that Relapse - his comeback album would be epic too, but look how disappointing it was.
Yes he has talent and I'd go as far and call him a genius but he clearly didn't show it in his last 2 albums (2, not 1). So with the over-optimistic going in here, it's fair enough to keep some pessimistic balance.

^ ya I hope so too. He still has it in him ya know, but sometimes he got affected by ppl/environment around (the gangsta period, and the idea of whole Relapse after one advise from Dre's son..). I just hope he got the right mind this time and do what he truly wants to.

I can't related to half of SSLP but that album was class. Relapse to me is like SSLP without creativeness/wittiness/punchlines.. I respect your opinion though, I have some friends that like it a lot too
