I'm just like you, I've only bought 1 of every album. I like to support him.

Let me tell you something.
When you're on Def Jam which is the label that push sales for their artists more than any hip hop label and when they spend half a million on comercials for your album and you come and sell 12k first week and like 40 overall this is more than a flop. This is the definition of flop.
Then if you're on Def Jam and have an exec position out there using money to sign your own acts and spent money on doing comercials for yours and theirs albums, and put out like 2 albums for like 2 years and both sell like 20k first week that's a flop too.
Don't tell me what flop means because you don't have idea what exactly you're talking about. You just read something and comment on it.

Cause you only ever seem to pop up when there are sales being discussed.

Francesco10 wrote:That's exactly why you don't know what flop means, cuz you find out about it from wikipedia. Unfortunately a lot more people argue as they only know about stuff from wikipedia.
When Ross first album came, it sold just over 100k I think, and it was in the platinum era when everybody was selling. So for a Def Jam artist to sell that at that time was a flop right there, eventhough it was number one album.
His second and third album had gazzelion feats and Def Jam spent million and a half on both albums, and they both sold like 140 and 160 respectively. Which is def a flop cuz they're both under 500k up to date and Def Jam hasn't brought the budget back outta the albums. But that's how the forumla works, they hype up the albums and then get the money back and up from touring and stuff. Jadakiss sold same numbers as Ross with 1/3 of the money for promotion and with 1/3 of the feats. Do the math and like I said don't argue about stuff you don't have idea about.
it's impossible to be sarcastic on the internet, even with the help smilies. *sarcasm begins* I was serious about my wikipedia comment. I'm glad you got my point. *sarcasm ends* I don't need to read it anywhere to know what flopping means. imo, if every album he released was a flop, he wouldn't be releasing an album right now. But since that's just my opinion and your definition of flop is supposedly better than mine, I'll end this stupid discussion by saying, "Fine, all of Rick Ross' albums are flops!" *no sarcasm*
