POV has just as much artistic integrity as any other camera angle, but I don't think a 4 minute music video was the correct platform for it. An entire piece of film using that device needs, in my opinion, a lot more room to breathe. It can look incredibly professional and absorbing given a 90 minute + window (See 'Maniac' (2012) and 'Peeping Tom' (1960)...Heck, a fair bit of 'Rear Window' takes place through a telescope lens..) Point is, I believe people think it looks amateurish because nothing spectacular was done with it. When everything suddenly has to be at eye level, it makes a lot of the shots look very plain and normal (Maybe that was intentional), but it certainly wasn't as visually interesting to watch. The films mentioned above allowed their characters to fall over, hide under things, drop the camera, get up high, peer over walls/ledges etc.

It's totally subjective, but that's my gripe, and my explanation. Otherwise, the concept was fine and everything else was ok. But I don't think the device was correct. I've sympathised with hundreds of characters before with and without POV.

At the end of the day however, it's a selfish opinion. If this is the video I assume Em wants his Mother to see, then so be it.

Your mention of peering over ledges etc just made me think that a bad guy video would be pretty good in POV....."reached my full potential, I peeked...." coming to kidnap Em and driving until you see Em almost drowning in the last verse. Something like that....

Lol Video was overhyped a bit, I thought it was alright, nothing wrong with it, just I imagined her driving away at night at some restaurant, but eh, its good 8/10

The g shock hasnt really been bad in vids. That dodgr ad was so unprofessional its sad lol. It was a still image inserted between a video. Embarrassing
