Eminem - Berzerk (MMLP2 Single)

On the first listen I thought the track was very meh. I was very optimistic about Berzerk as it sounded different, but I'm not really feeling it right now. I'll give it another few spins.

BESIDES, I'm pretty sure the rest of the album won't sound like this, did all of SSLP sound like My Name Is? did all of MMLP sound like TRSS? did all of TES sound like Without Me? did all of Relapse sound like We Made You? NAH!

Atleast they had some funny lyrics and a take on the pop-culture as it was by the time he released them.
But I get what you are saying. But also, by that logic: We made You was about killing celebrities, the rest of the album had a different, waaaay better sound but was still about killing. How is this gonna sound? It didn't make me laugh or anything. Is this album gonna be hardcore hip-hop with mediocre, boring lyrics? I don't know, but this single didn't make me laugh once. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.. I didn't feel anything special at all.

I wouldn't consider it an almost perfect track.

I love the beat and the hook. Really love it. Need a few more listens for the verses. Rapgenius made me appreciate them more.

Reading through the lyrics whilst listening to the song certainly made me appreciate it more. I still think it's pretty average though. The hook is definitely one of the plus points.

Survival is another song off the album, and it sounds nothing like Berzerk, now I don't know how you feel about it, but I loved Survival too much, therefore I'm still very optimistic about the album

I didn't like Survival at all exept for the "knife in my gut/whipin' my butt"-scheme. I told myself to stay calm and pretend Survival was just a bonus track and that this song would be funny, catchy, dissing first single in the vain of TRSS, but it was not. Now I have 0 hope for the album and the fact that he's calling it MMLP2 with songs like these feels like he's punching me in my balls.

After he reliesed SEVEN first singles which are one of the or the weakest tracks of the albums they were in, why are people still doubting that the rest of MMLP2 will be better than Berzerk? For me TRSS>Without me>My Name Is> Berzerk>Not Afraid>We Made You>Just Lose it
