If it was Royce singly signing to Shady Records then I would love it but I'm not fussed about SH as a whole, depsite a good debut album.

Going to Shady Records is the stupidiest mistake SH will make anyway. They've hardly got a great record of releasing albums.

bunch of my favorite artists had album before they got signed and they all counted the album AFTER getting signed as their official debut, it's the industry's rule, Em's not the only one.

I bought it legally from Amazon......

And royce isnt even that good. They wont become mainstream because they would have already if they were that dope. Its just a good move for them since they will have a major label behind them.

However, they will never bring in as much as em, dre, or 50 did so interscope will not be motivated to get them out there....so it isnt that big of a deal.

Yeah i know why it doesn't get counted when talking about his albums and comparing them, cos he was a different artist and there's no comparison as far as quality or skill. But as far as numbers, it's fact.

You know what, i can't even imagine who Em has recorded with for this up coming shit. With him branching out and with so many people wanting to work with him, and with no guarantees apart fom D12 (we would've guessed anyway). It's all so damn mysterious

The difference was Em was white so could get away with the attitude (no hate), and Royce went too far with it and upset the wrong people.

Royce is the only person as far as a full artist, with his flow, wit, anger and personal relationship, that i think could take Em to the cleaners.. but i prefer them as friends.

They might not have not hit mainstream (apart from Pump it up). But that is NO indication of dopeness. Crooked I is one of the sickest guys of all time, ask any hip hop fan. Joel spits deep shit that so many people feel (listen to "Make it Without you"), and Budden can be a lyrical monster (although i think he's not as good as the rest as you saw from my order).

People underrate them because they're not Em or particularly heard of to none hip hop people, but any of these guys could kill Em on a track on their day if the white boy didn't come with it hard. That's the truth
