Great point, they're treating Eminem and expecting more of him than everybody else whilst at the same time pertaining that he's lesser than they are and not worthy of such attention. Total hypocrisy and confusion of aims.

They might be some what of telling the truth, but they said that the reason the hip hop shop wasnt used for 8 mile was because they didnt give him permission.. but to my research The Hip Hop Shop has been closed for 10 years... Which means it was closed before the filming of 8 Mile.. So my guess is alot of this stuff might be true, but I feel like alot of this was also bitterness and jealousy.

EDIT: and another thing, what sense does it make for the highest selling hip-hop artist of ALL time, a successful, RICH, musician who is considered a MEGA-STAR, to come "back around" to the hood or the projects? Let me tell you like this, im from Chicago. Ive been through, have been raised around, and know people in the hood and the projects, and the people in there want to get out and never come back again. He didn't get an award, Proofs mother gave him something. They left that small detail out. This isn't the first time these guys tried this. If they knew Proof as much as they say they did they know he would not condone their tactics. They are attempting to use Proofs death and stir controversy around it in an attempt to promote a track that dropped 4 days before this interview. Did you hear it? Neither did anyone else. These guys will always be failures.

She did. I edited my post as you were typing. It wasn't an 'award'. And it was a picture of them together. Pepper knew who Proofs true best friend was.

Even if someone gave him an award, he didn't ask for it. They said themselves that he was given the award then because these people didn't expect to see him again. Plus, Em was already fucked up with prescription drugs by the time of Proof's death--he was probably pretty clueless about what was going on around him.
