I think he's doing too many features. He's becoming a quantity-over-quality sort of rapper now.

How many features has he done in the last month? Seven? Shit's getting ridiculous.

Well I would agree except he lived by that motto for his glory years.

He put out three classics in a row, kept the features hand-picked and mostly quality and really didn't spread himself thin. Which is part of the reason his name stayed so exciting and has done throughout the years. His and Paul's inch by inch exposure of extreme talent. Always making people want more.

But now he's cemented himself in history and very likely put out the best stuff he will ever put out now (although who knows what he could come up with in the future) - AND the fact he's 38 and probably isn't going to rap that much longer, I'm all for it.

We lived like starving Africans being thrown cracker (unintentional but funny pun) crums (tracks) for so long that, give us the whole fucking pack now. He's probably just going all out now, which I'm fine with at this stage in his career. I just wanna hear more and more.

As long as he puts the same focus in, is all that matters.

He's not focusing. He's just jumping on every track he's offered with a half-assed verse.

I don't think that's the reason.

I think it's because he's running out of things to say which is why he's focusing so much on flows and delivery. He's tryna find new ways to say them.

I would hardly call the verses sloppy (in structure) He's just not as good of a writer. He doesn't have the same wit or mind that he did in 1999, that's why they're not as good. Even when he goes all out on Recovery - Which we know he took his time with - It's still not a scratch and still not far off these features (in a lot of spots). That's a sign it's his writing, regardless.

It's not like he's trying to build a pyramid AND do these features. Those are all he's doing, and he writes CONSTANTLY. So I seriously doubt he's being rushed here, he's just not as good... that simple.

He was also locked away in his house for years and really isn't involved with the world in any sense now. So all he talks about is his own head, he's been doing this since TES. Where as on SSLP and MMLP, he was 'coming up', having new ideas, opinions and experiences thrown his way, going around the world - he had a lot to say about a lot of things. He doesn't have as much to say now, so he's bound to seem less interesting too.

I agree. His flow/style/etc. is good/great/awesome on some of the new stuff, but many of the lyrics are shit. A lot of them don't make sense--the words just sound good together. Plus, subject-wise he's sometimes boring as fuck. In the Rolling Stone article, he talked about not wanting to be all "woe is me" and then most of the new lyrics THAT ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE are about the same shit. Obviously as a fan, I don't get worked up about lyrics about "bitches"/"hoes"/a bad relationship, but the lyrics are repeative to the point of being boring.

4 of the songs are really good the only bad one but really bad is roman's love his shit with royce and ti and the new one with dre just kills i love the fact he has more music out maybe they just want to be out there now cause they wanna drop detox and maybe bad meets evil album so he needs to get people excited about that that's why 2 songs out from him and royce and another one is coming
