I was thinking the same at first but nah it's freestyled off the top, you can tell when he's freestyling and when the shits written cuz during freestyles he always says shit like "rappers aint ready" "coming off the top" and "they don't know how I kick it when I bust" and random shit like that repeatedly.

Well, contrary to popular belief - freestyle does not mean made up on the spot. So people keep hearing freestyle VERSES he spits and going "WOW NO WAY WAS THAT ON THE SPOT MAN" lmfao. Like it's not brain shatteringly fucking obvious it's written.

It's so obvious when it's written. But he's not hiding it, you're supposed to know.

Freestyle originally just meant you could go anywhere, say anything. To a beat on the spot, free of style. It was only "off the dome" that meant rhymes off the top of your head.

So, the best example of that is the "throwing words" freestyle with Stretch Armstong. Where he's having words thrown at him randomly and keeps it going. That is 100% on the spot, you can always tell IMO - or... anyone who knows how to tell can tell and, it's totally on the spot and GENIUS. Easily the best off the dome freestyle I have ever heard.

I know that he's talking about batteling there, but I think he does kind of the same with freestyling alot of times too. Sometimes I can see that it's all written, but sometimes it also seems like he has some lines pre-written, and mixes that in with some shit that he comes up with on the spot. I can't remember a freestyle like that lately, but atleast some of his older ones.
