When Encore first came out, what were your first thoughts?

I wasn't a fan back when it came out, so I had no thoughts...

Encore was the second Em album I listened to, though. At first, I kinda liked it, but it was nowhere near TES. Now it's an okay album, not completely trash like people make it out to be but not great for an Em album. As a rap album though, it was okay

When Encore came out I fucking loved it. It was the first Eminem album that I bought and listened to from start to finish. I used to bump it in my father's car, when we were on a long trip, and listen to it as I fell asleep.

Now, Encore is just . I can't believe cool it seemed when I first heard it.

I think if you liked the music to begin with, there's no reason not to like it now. Except for following in everyone else's footsteps by calling it trash. I mean, I thought Encore was okay, not really that great but not complete trash. I still feel the same about it today than I did back then

I agree with you. Okay, you may not love it like you did when you first heard it. But from loving the album to now hating it? I don't buy that.

I was 17 and a senior in high school when Encore came out. I remember listening to it when it first leaked and was shocked. I could not believe he transitioned from The Eminem Show to this. It is not that I hated or disliked the album its just not what was expected from anyone. I remember people on the net claiming that the album that leaked was not the actual real album and that it was a fake to throw everyone off. Wishful thinking. I enjoy Encore to this day but at the same time still realize it is his worst album to date.

Because you realize how much shit sucks when you grow up, I used to listen to Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane and all those other wack fucks when I was 14 & 15. Then I started listening to Eminem and from there got into Underground/Horrorcore and now I can't stand most of the mainstream shit today. People change.
