Um Kanye's album just got 5 Mics, please re-evaluate your thesis just because of one verse (that leaked).

I personally don't agree with the 5 mics...I'd give it only 4 or so. His production on MBDTF is great, but his lyrics aren't that special. Not bad, but not spectacular.

I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree there. I agree with you about the beats & I respect your opinion but I think it's an amazing, classic lyrical album too, as far as concepts & lyrics go too.

He just said the guy was arrogant, it doesn't mean he has to be referring to the one douche-bag moment that you were referring to.

Not to play devil's advocate, but I don't really like Kanye either. His music is awesome and he is very talented, but as a person he seems.. well.. arrogant. A lot of promoters wont work with him because he shows up late to performances and he is apparently very difficult to deal with. The Taylor Swift incident is just something the world saw. There's apparently a ton of other things going on behind the scenes that people don't like.

For example: Nappy Roots = Pretty Awesome Music.. But in person, they show up late to their performances, often drunk, perform for 15 minutes and leave with the cash.

There are TONS of reasons to not like a musician.

Just because he's famous, is why you don't like him more then the millions of other assholes in the world. Am I wrong there? No.

Kanye takes it to a whole nother level, but making fun of dead people, and people with disabilities, I have a disability- seizures/Epilepsy, and if he ever made fun of somebody like that, I would lose even more respect for him, he's fucked up. Making fun of Christopher Reaves, WHO'S DEAD, who had a disability when he was alive, Michael J. Fox who has Parkinson's Disease, is fucked up.

It is an attitude that promoters and agencies don't want to deal with. I have never worked with Kanye West personally, but any artist that we send on tour that isn't humble, we just cut them out of the picture. There is a string of theaters and promoters in Cali that wont work with the guy, and there's a good reason.

Music is great. Attitude is awful (from what I've seen and heard).

1 mic for lyrical quality
