personally I don´t get the point of compare a song with a full album
anyway I choose recovery, there are many songs on the album that I like more than drop the world, although I prefer drop the world rather than no love.
And the voice sounds pretty much the same in recovery and drope the world.

No Love is like a longer better version of his drop the world verse.

I don't mind ppl disliking Recovery though. Who gives a fuck, I love it :b: :b: I like to talk about things I like rather than go on and on about things I hate, otherwise what's the point of being alive.

don't see how people can say DTW verse is better than No Love
Em absolutely murks his No Love verse...easily top 5 verses ever by him imo, not to mention one of my favorite rap songs of all time with the gritty swag Weezy brings to compliment Em
everything about it is greatness..the flow, the voice, the passion, the swagger, ...

i love DTW too, but No Love is on a different level

Em's verse on No Love might be better, but Drop The World is a more original concept. Don't forget Haddaway's What Is Love was sampled, a thing that Em wouldn't have done some years ago. So really don't know what I prefer, like both.

Because the last half of Em's DTW verse is exactly like his Recovery voice.

Almost Famous is way louder than this.

Remember Me from the MMLP is louder than Almost Famous.

Point?

My point -> The "shouting" doesn't matter too much.

That was one song.

I liked remember me just because it stood out.

I dont want all songs shouting.

lol

So Bad, Going Through Changes, You're Never Over, Untitled, Session One, etc. aren't shouting either.

That half album so half album is all shouting thats too much.

Its as bad as him singing all songs like in your never over. Which is good because its one song about proof not alot of songs.

He doesn't even shout(that much) on Recovery :shakehead: It seems once we heard these post recovery leaks that people started talking Recovery down on these boards.

Relapse drops most here love it.. then few weeks later forum hates it. 1 year later lots of you guys say it is dope.

Recovery drops gets compared to TES huge love for it here.. then few months later forum begins to hate it.. guess we are a few months away from people liking Recovery again haha.

Anyway for what it's worth Recovery is a good album, In my opinion he put a lot of effort into it to try and create what he thought his fans wanted but also make tracks that would make him relevant again. Of course it is not as good as the first three but it is still a good album that really does not deserve all the hate it receives. Probably 5 tracks I skip from it. He really has nothing to prove anymore and is making music for fun.

We're Em fans; when his first album in 4 years leaks on the Internet, how do you expect people to react?

Oh no doubt I am just saying Recovery seems to be following the same course Relapse did on this forum.

This works for the MMLP too. Here, I'll do the whole albums.

Shouting - MMLP:

Amityville
Kim
Remember Me?
The Way I Am
Criminal (the hook - maybe)

Shouting - Recovery

Almost Famous
Cold Wind Blows
Won't Back Down
Love The Way You Lie
Not Afraid (3rd verse - maybe)

I'd call it close with the "shouting" and I'd say MMLP's "shouting" was more intense than Recovery's.

So..

If you liked it on MMLP, it really shouldn't bother you on Recovery, as it's not even that loud or crazy. On Remember Me, he's literally yelling. Kim too.

So what I'm saying with this topic is, Drop The World sounds just like Recovery to me.

And on a side note, the MMLP is more intense than Recovery.

I compare Ems shouting to acting (As it kinda is what he's doing, hes faking emotions). His shouting on the MMLP songs are very convincing, theres a reason for it, sounds real. Its good acting. His shouting on Recovery is kinda random and it sounds very fake because of it. (Except on NA, LTWYL, and Spacebound, he has a reason for it there).

The problem isnt with the shouting its that he's been using a really fake sounding aggressive voice on his post Recovery verses and it sounds like ass. I would hear more of his whiny Encore voice and Encore sound effects than hear an album where Em sounds the way he does on INAD and LTWYL 2.
