You Can Dislike Eminem's New Music And Still Be A Fan

It isn't logic. It's an inexperienced form of rebuttal that the amateur debate team (See? I found a substitute for the word) wants to fall back on (that they probably didn't construe themselves, they more than likely heard someone in their same position use it so they follow) whenever they think they feel like being bold and revolutionary by saying what, in their own delusional little heads, no one in their party has done before and standing up against the "haters".

I enjoyed Recovery, I enjoyed every album except Encore, but if I say that the leaked songs, not the official ones, no, but the LEAKED ones that everyone would tear their dicks in half and strangulate Koolo with for a chance to listen, are garbage, I'm being a hater and I shouldn't be on this site.

The biggest problem on this site is the way people debate. I asked Lello why is "piss a happy meal off" a corny puncline, and his answer was lik "UGHHHHHHH, AHHHHHHHHHH, couse it is". What the fuck kind of answer eas that. You are free to say that Em`s punchlines are corny, but you need something to back that up. That kind of arguing makes me pissed.

Here, we criticise every single song Em does. And Eminem is an artist that lives his music. His anger, joy, sadness, crazyness, we get all that in his songs. Every album is something different. He is not generic like other artists, not just rappers. Fifty wil alway have the same album, no matter if he is a superstar or an nobody. Bitches, money, cars, rims, guns, asses and a bulletproof vest. And there are underground rappers taht go on and on about the same shit every song, but they are underground, and underground is cool and you are cool if you listen to them couse they are fucking underground. I`m not hating on underground rappers, just saying what people do.

So, it si not corny to talk about the same stuff over and over again, but if you say a few bad punchlines, you are a sellout? Come on.

Think about this for a second-do you think Em was aiming for his career to be like this. To be one of the biggest stars ever. You guys here know that he is doing everything you should not do if you wanna be big. No touring, just a few concerts in a year. But he has a charisma so strong that people love everything he does. We are talking abozt Eminem, the guy that made songs about killing his wife and dumping her in the sea, and his little girl helped him do it. He is making fun of C. Reeve, a paralised guy that died, he is bashing gays, other celebrities and people love him. Other rappers, even the famous underground ones wpuld kill to have that jind of a gift. He says "I pee on Rihanna", and she makes a song with him. And a part 2. How manny others can do that.

The guy disappears for 4 years, comes back with 2 albums and wipes the floor with the rest of the world. Wipes the floor with Gaga, and she lives to be a superstar. She is on tour 3/4 of the year and does all types of crazy shit to get noticed. Eminem runs away when the word "tour" is mentioned, barely leaves his house, and owns the world.

I don`t even care about the sales and how famous someone is, but Eminem is damn impressive when it comes to that.

If I put all that fame and sales aside, and just talk about skills, Eminem is at the top here. One of the best that ever held a mic.
He can be funny, serious, crazy, he can make me sad, pumped, he is great to listen when you are pissed. Eminem showed us that you don`t have to be black, gangsta, armed and dangerous to be a rapper. And when he is focused, he makes songs that no one can top. He is a lyrical genious and a true artist.

I am proud to be an Eminem fan, and I will support him in his best and his lowest times, couse his music has been a big part of my life.
If I don`t like somethiong he does, I will not call him a sellout. Only bitches do that. To kiss some forum asses that think it`s cool to come here and talk shit about Eminem. And they got nothing to back up the stuff they say. That is corny and wack.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I don't give a fuck if anyone thinks Encore was dope. I don't care if someone puts GOAT in their top 20 Eminem songs. I will not say someone is an idiot for thinking that songs like "Cum On Everybody" or "My Fault" are filler (Even though I will debate that they aren't). Master Chief's favorite album is Recovery and I'll never try to tell him "No, your opinion is wrong. Fuck you, you're not a real fan".

You can make statements I don't agree with, whatever. If you try to pass it off as some kind of "fact", then I am going to argue against it, but I'm not going to say "you're an idiot" or "Shut the fuck up, you don't know what you're talking about, get off this site". But if you suddenly have some type of hostility towards me, because I say that a song is terrible, or that the voice isn't good, or that the beat choice is atrocious, or the content is meh, then you can fuck off if I'm not a "real fan".

If you like Eminem as an artist, listen to him, like a good portion of his work (even if it's just 1-2 albums), and go out of your way to pay attention to him, then you're a fan by all means. Besides that, 10-20 wack songs in the huge discography of great work he has does not mean anyone who acknowledges these songs as terrible "aren't real fans", it means they care. The fact that someone still has that high of a standard for his work proves they're a fan anyways, right?

Great points. People should just respect each other's opinions regardless. Opinions on neither side are right; they're just opinions. It's not fact, so it can't be right or wrong.

As for being an Eminem fan, I completely agree with what you said. I believe that true fans, of an artist, a team, whatever, support that person through it all. That's what it means to be a fan. I'm not saying you can't criticize something, because of course, you can. You don't have to like every song or every game, but you can still love that artist or that team. Stick through the bad for the good.

Just because you don't like his stuff post-Recovery (which really isn't of any exceptional quality) you're not a fan? That stuff is a miniscule of his overall work. It's a ridiculously small amount. If you like the majority of what he puts out sober then surely you have every right to call yourself fan.

Even if you only like his first 3 albums, you still have every right to call yourself a fan and post on this site.

When Newcastle United got relegated and I was disgusted with their perfomances, does that mean I can't be a fan anymore? No, I just realised the team was going in the wrong direction and I was eager to see themselves put it right. I still turned up to matches, in the same way I listen to new Em songs. In both cases, I'm worried they're going to be poor, but I still hope they can be great.
