My reaction was, finally - a real artist on Shady.
Anybody who's made a snap judgement on Yelawolf or thinks they know what he's about, or thinks that he's a one-dimensional MC or whatever is completely wrong. Mark my words, he will be huge and do huge things.
Anyone who's unfamiliar with him needs to go listen to all his mixtapes. He brings in such an array of mixed influence and juggles it all so well. He's kind of like a white B.o.B but, a better MC. Constant little concepts and he's a brilliant hook writer, songwriter, rapper. He's got it.
So much better than those fucking garbage posers like Stat Quo and Bobby Creek who were completely fucking up the image of Shady and Em's credibility as a true artist, by means of association. All they were interested in was spewing cliche gangsta nonsense and looking tough. Fucking poisoning rap.
As for Yela being white, I'm neither here nor there with that. My only thought was... personally, I think Yela has the potential to be the second biggest white rapper after Eminem... and, my only thought was - it's quite... well, I dunno but, the fact that he'll always be associated with Eminem now. Because of that. And because it's very hard to escape Em's shadow period.
But, the potential second biggest (and best) white rapper ever now could of been signed and blown up by the biggest and best. Which, again, I don't really know what my point is or why that's worth mentioning. It's just, interesting.
