I think Proof's
Searching for Jerry Garcia is a brilliant album, and close to a classic for me. He definitely brought a sort of... genuinely moody, heartfelt, grungy blues into rap with that. He had soul. As for Royce, I haven't fully ever listened to
all of his solo work but he's up there for his Bad Meets Evil verses alone for me. And I liked
Street Hop.
With Yela, he's automatically up there and above most of the others for me from his mixtapes alone. He's really worked on the craft, no slacking and is already such a talented songwriter with so much... versatility. And he merges in other genre influences to effortlessly like B.o.B.
As for like, Budden and the rest of Slaughterhouse, I still need to listen to all their solo work.
Honorable mention: Obie
My undoubted least favourite / worst though, would be Bizarre of course.
