It has everything. i just wish there were more tracks like Deja Vu instead of medicine ball, crack a bottle and we made you.

Agree with this. Aside from the "Medicine Ball" inclusion, as it's pure awesomeness and, apart from saying more "Deja Vu" tracks. I think he summed up all that needed to be said in that track alone. Recovery was flogging an already dead horse for the sake of appeasing people.

I just wish "Beautiful" and "Crack a Bottle" weren't there. They ruin the album. And I'm also FUCKING annoyed that I'll never hear Relapse 2. Especially after the tracks on Refill.

indy wrote:Hell was pretty awesome but i dont like the whole tihng with the hooks, why dont Em make em? take from me and above the law would have been so much better if it wasent for the hooks

I think a lot of us are wishing he'd make his own hooks again. Maybe he just wanted to focus solely on verses to try and max his lyrical capacity out without focusing on ANY other aspect of song making... that's what it seems like.

Hopefully it's a phase though, and I really hope his next album has well thought-out classic Em hooks.

But, disagree with the "Above the Law" comment. That hook is AWESOME. Good lyrics (for once. A lot of hooks are dumb or thoughtless) and I really like that singer. Like Liz on "Almost Famous" she contrasts Em's yelling and the dark beat well, and makes the whole thing sound eerie.

She sounds like some creepy witch singer or something. And it's catchy as fuck. But, it's good that she sounds like that. Eminem = creepy. And it's what he does best. Creepy and spiteful are his strong points, it's only when he tries to fit in he usually comes off cringing.

I never got into Medicine Ball. yeah maybe he summed up most shit on Deja Vu but it was lik 2 depressing songs on the album and that was to little imo. Em was gone for years with drug problem and the detah of proof. sohuld have been more that on Relapse imo. yeah crak a bottle is stupid but i like Beautiful, its not so good but it got alot of feeling and emotion in it just like Mockingbird and Difficult and i like that shit. yeah i want Relapse 2 so badly

yeah hopefully its just a phase and he will start doing them again on his next album. yeah he probably just wnated to focus on the verses but still. every other album he made had mostly Em hooks and those verses were brilliant so he sohuld make both.

i liked the take form me hook better than abowe the law. yeah almost famous hook was dope. it fitted in perfect with Em's voice and beat and everytihng but 25 to life and space bound was awful. they were so stupid and they just hurted my ear
You gotta make 'em fear you 'for you make 'em feel you so everybody buy my shit or i'ma come and kill you.

The Reunion alone is better than Recovery.

...But I do agree with EmBase about Cinderella Man...very underrated Recovery track.

I don't see anything special about that track, you people are really over-hyping it.

GTC, Space Bound, Cold Wind Blows, Almost Famous>The Reunion, Above The Law, Welcome To Hell, Echo

I really like the chorus on Take From Me and Above the Law. I just wish that on personal songs like I Need A Doctor and Cocaine he would have chorus' that he does himself and fits to that song and that only. You could take chorus' of some of these songs and put them on other songs and they would fit right in (besides the fact that they say the track title). But for chorus' like 3AM, Who Knew, The Real Slim Shady, and Without Me, they are made specifically for that song and fit the theme of the verses perfectly. Im sick of random producers giving Em beats with hooks attached to them. He needs to make his own. And make his own beats again, or at least only have 2 or 3 producers on an album so it doesnt sound all over the place. Current Em on an album that only consists of Dre and Em beats would be amazing.

I need a doctor wasn't even his song and the hook really fit the theme of the song and worked if you watch the video.

That's a better one (I'm sure Refill would win)

Hell is good, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't compared to a full fledged Eminem album.

So far, HTS has more replay value than Recovery, so for now I'll say HTS.
