I would want "Curtains Close" to not feature Ken Kaniff but rather Eminem himself or just fanfare sounds. With Ken Kaniff on it, with his voice which for me is a tad annoying, it just feels like, after 19 tracks of sheer genius and watching a man - who is inarguably the best at his craft at the time & at the prime of life - this stupid homesexual-ass faggot comes and makes a mockery of it like it was nothing.

I feel that such an end to an album of the quality of The Eminem Show should have had a better closing & the skit was quite irrelevant & could have been something better even with the Ken Kaniff charater.

But at the end of the day, The Eminem Show - one of the best albums of all time. Period.

Honestly I think it's pretty good as it is. Every song on the album has relevance. Switching them out with tracks you personally like more doesn't make it a good album, it just makes it a playlist of your favourites.

Replace Business and Without Me? No way.

Like Toy Soldiers really is not a bad song though. It's cool how his words work perfectly with the drums. He said in some interview that he actually memorized the drum loop and wrote to that. I find it pretty cool.

Anyway:

ya def epic.

but like ive said before.... replace drips and business with no apologies and stimulate.

at least drips with no apologies. i just say business with stimulate because a lot of people have said that they think stimulate shouldve made a studio album. i feel like all around with these 2 changes, it may be liked EVEN MORE.. even though its already a classic and IMO one of the best albums of all time.

To be honest, if the album were 100% serious songs, it would get tiresome. Business, Without Me, and Drips are all great. There's no reason to replace them.

Dude, you want to get rid of without me?

Remember when it dropped and you heard "Guess who's back... Back again" holy shit I almost fucking cried man because before that song I thought he had formed D12 and was sticking with the group permanantly and there was never going to be another Eminem album ever. Then fucking Without Me drops... Fucking crazy...

There are little things like "start shit-itis" and "ly-RIC spitted" and "dest-UNNY" that bring it down for me. There's a load of stuff on TES that is lyrically superior.

What's wrong with the last two examples? I agree with shititis, that's horrible, but what don't you like about the others? Just where he's putting the emphasis?

Lose "Business" and add "Like Toy Soldiers"? no way! not for me.

"Business" is a classic track and a rare example of making a song that's as good as a single as it is a song. It works brilliantly as a single, but it's still excellent hip hop, and music.

It also fits perfectly on the album.

"No Apologies" could be worked in there somewhere and I think could elevate the album. But the production of it doesn't really gel with the rest as The Eminem Show overall, has rock vibes grooved into it and "No Apologies" has piano and chords.

"Like Toy Soldiers" is a yawn fest for me though. It's one of my least favourite Eminem songs that others like. It's one of those times where he sacrificed art for a point, too much and instead of being music it became a conversation. A dead serious, boring conversation.

Music, or art, shouldn't just be an outlet of thoughts. I think good art should be creative, provocative and original. And that song isn't really any of those.

And "Without Me" is the heart of the album. It's not the best song but it pumps blood through the other tracks, it's a perfect intro, a classic track and slap bang in the middle.
