I agree. Hopefully Eminem can take his time with this album. I really don't want a new Em album until 2013 or very last 2012, just so I'm sure he took his time to make an album that's beyond what he's been doing as of late. HTS was a great EP for what it was... an EP, he and Royce put together while fucking around in the studio. But if we judge it disregarding all that, it lacks replay value and it was more or less the same shit. His flow was annoying at times too. Take From Me and Loud Noises have the most obnoxious flows Em has crafted in a long, long time. Worse than anything he's done after his comeback.

He also needs to stop being influenced by YM. I mean the first three people Em named as the best current rappers in the game in that BME web-stream were WAYNE, DRAKE and NICKI. All of which have below average - fucking awful punchlines and generic subject matter (excluding Drake at times). Out of all those, Drake would be an acceptable, common and possibly good influence but it's a problem when you realize he just named the 3 heads of Young Money. Honestly, Joe Budden is the only person close to him that is NOT a yes-man and is very outspoken. Royce is his close friend but he also thinks all three of them are dope (though not as much as Em does) and Royce was on the same song as Em when he said "put this shit in park like dog shit" and "I'm so done with this shit that I may as well wipe". So I don't really know... All I know is Em needs to listen to Watch The Throne and draw some kind of inspiration from that. He needs to start making MUSIC again. Not shitty punchlines delivered at 140 MPH.

I disagree because Recovery sucks (sucks is a strong word...the worst of the best is a better way to put it) and The Eminem Show does not.

I think his next album will be very reflective and TES-esque sprinkled with some "The Way I Am" track(s).

With everything that's happened in the past year and a half, he's got a good basis for exceptional material, it just depends on how he uses it and hopefully it isn't wasted again.

I hope this isn't referring to me because I love Recovery and I enjoyed HTS a bit too. But there really isn't an argument to be made about the quality of his punchlines. He's hit and miss but when he misses, it's really, REALLY bad.

And no one's bashing the current Em, not even the OP. We're just saying what we want from Em (our favorite artist) in the future since he hasn't been as on point as we would like him to be. We don't address on our opinion with hopes of Paul or Em seeing them (not mainly).
