So i guess the change in attitude and clothing etc.. is all part of the connection?

Em was so funny in interviews and shit when Relapse came out, and even acted like old Em, then he goes all serious a year later.

If i was gonna make an album about Recovering and coming back, it would be my first album, not the second album

Even more so in his music now.

I didn't see Eminem in 2009 on Westwood making jokes when he was asked about Proof's death.

With Recovery comes more serious questions, so you have to be serious.

When Recovery came out, he wasnt funny.

Of course you didnt see him being funny about that topic, thats a fucking retarded thing to say.

A year is not a short period of time.
Him RECOVERING from his drug addiction made him realize to take things more seriously so he doesn't end up RELAPSING again.

He's still a fucking comedian, except he just hides behind a few tears. (that was executed horribly :facepalm )

6 months after Relapse is released all I hear is "Relapse sucked, I hate that accent, he isn't making meaningful music!"

2 and a half years after Relapse is released I hear NOTHING but "omg Relapse is a fucking flawless classic!"

Seriously some people on here are so fickle and have no clue what they're talking about.

The hate for this album from most fans is remarkable. Its not his best album yet shits all over anything any mainstream rapper can do. Yes the accents were excessive but once you get past it and listen to it you will realize that all together it was absolutely magnificent. The content is far from sub par. I may go as far as saying it's even better than Recovery, if he dropped the accent it would by far overtake anything on Recovery. Recovery had good tracks but the beats were half assed and I feel like everything was rushed and moreso marketed to a broader audience, and not to mention the features, pink and Rihanna I still can't wrap my head around that lol and then we had a lol Wayne feature which was meh I guess, it seemed like Em was throwing jabs at him throughout every Collab track so in my mind If that is true then I will let that pass. But overall I may just say Relapse was a more innovative well thought out album.

lol what are you talking about? The beats on Recovery are far more complex than the beats on Relapse.

Whether you prefer the sound of the Relapse beats compared to the Recovery beats is a different question altogether, but I'd love to know how you think the Recovery beats are "half-assed".

People just have to fucking nitpick everything.

It's true.

Face it, no matter what Eminem comes out with, nobody on this site is ever going to be satisfied. Ever.

Well I guess it's how everyone views it, people have different opinions. The beats on Recovery were not terrible whatsoever but in my opinion I feel as though the effort and thought put into them were far less than what was put into Relapse. Also as for the content, recovery's content is more serious and yes he does speak about meaningful stuff but for some reason I just don't know it seems like some of the stuff he is saying is being said just to please us. The popstar additions were just enough to drive me up the wall because it just seemed like it wasn't something he stood for. He somewhat caved into what his mainstream audience wanted to broaden his fanbase. That explains all of the new "fans" that popped up out of nowhere right after Recovery, they like "that" em I much prefer TES, MMLP em yet I understand that people grow and change, I guess it's to each their own. I just don't want to sit here and play the whole old em vs new em game since em is em and he truly is the same just different priorities. I can also add that both albums are great and have their own little gems.

I have a few things to say and i'll say them here.

1) Relapse is a great album, and it DID feel like an Eminem album. He was funny, witty (Even joking of Paline) and it had some incredible rhymes schemes.
People on SL say it's his worst album, which I don't believe is true. I don't think the accent ruins it, man if you can listen to Lil Wayne, or any high pitched rapper you can bare that accent. It's just that Eminem doesn't like to feel the same on every album, and this was a lot different.. but yet Eminem/shady.

When people think of Shady, I'm sure there is a connection in their brain thinking of that old voice. If Eminem came up with his recent voice and made a shady track, he still wouldn't be praised.

2) Cold Wind Blows. DAMN. This song, its beat and everything sounds like a classic Eminem track. I mean, not classic because it's really good or something, but soon as the beat begins you know Eminem is on it nah mean? This is clearly one of his signatures track on Recovery.

3) He's not really serious right now. I think he's even more stupid and goofy now than during Relapse. Just watch that 20 minutes interview, I was DEAD laughing during the whole thing.

And I will not judge Eminem on his collab tracks and contacting Koolo to terrorize Rosenberg and shit is the baddest idea that could EVER happen. That would just piss him off. I mean his last complete album was recovery and it was a very solid album. NO ONE can deny that.

4) I also noticed Eminem is really getting better with his rhyming now than during Recovery. I feel like he's mixing Relapse rhymes schemes with Recovery's delivery and I'm kinda positive his next album will be a fucking great one..

5) NOW MAN. The positive thing on Throw It Up.. That intro to Eminem's verse. It's a freaking awesome intro and I believe Eminem made it. I'm positive that he will use more "epic" intros and shit like that for his tracks now.

and a question ..

6) CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IN WHICH TRACK HE MENTIONNED "Fast Foods" "taking hoes to fast food" recently?
