I thought Cocaine was for Recovery.

Nobody knows for sure, but Koolo was told that it was gonna be Relapse 2's first single.

Anything not produced by Em / Dre is not Relapse 2.

All Relapse material was done with Dre.

"Cocaine" is one of the new tracks, it's a Recovery-era track. You can tell by the production, content and rap style. Even if it was an early transition as in, maybe Em made it for what was still going to be Relapse 2, just a new version but, it's not an original Relapse 2 track.

Fans scared him away from that, which is a shame. I really wanted Relapse 2.

I rather have had King Mathers.

Why judging by those leaks the album would have been 10 times worse than Encore and because he was at his worst.

I concur. Relapse 2 ANYDAY over King Mathers. Though I would be extremely interested in hearing how dark that album must have been, Relapse 2 was probably close to a masterpiece.

OT: It's far too late for that. But I would love to hear some songs he recorded during that era for 8 Mile...I'm sure he recorded more than what we're given.
