I seriously doubt Em would appreciate being surrounded by a billion people like that.

Just want to clear a few things up on this thread. Yes Liddell is better than Ortiz, and yes Anderson Silva is better than both of them. He is in fact the best fighter to ever walk the face of the earth since the dawn of time (pound for pound).

Also Em being a boxing fan, I'm sure this would still interest him after all its still a combat sport. Mixed martial arts is basically the art of fighting as a pose to boxing which is the art of punching, although as some people have said it involved any martial art you can think of, in reality this is not the case. You will basically train Wrestling, Ju-jitsu and kickboxing, however some fighters favour boxing over kickboxing (as well as strength and conditioning). Also at a UFC event there are usually 16 000 people in the crowd, not a billion.

Sorry to give you my life story, but I love the sport and need the details to be perfect :D

^funny but your wrong about most of that lol

MMA IS all fighting styles, however the most common are wrestling, jui-jitsu or BJJ, and muay thai.
but many fighters use kickboxing, karate, greco roman along with cologient wrestling(sp) and there have been
many straight boxers transform into MMA fighters (Marcus Davis)

and the crowds are much larger, more like 40-50,000.
but im pretty sure dude was exaggerating when he said a billion...

many can argue that GSP and Jon Jones are better than Anderson, which i doubt but can be argued well.
they would have to fight to see, but jon jones has bigger reach and amazing wrestling and GSP has amazing wrestling, but wouldn't get tired like Sonnen(which sonnen would have won had he NOT got tired) so the arguments there

Pound for pound, it can be argued that Aldo is better.

either way Liddell was king when know one knew his style, once rampage exposed how to beat he everyone and their mother could do it. Rashad, Rich, Rampage again, Shogun, Wanderlei almost did. he was NEVER great, just had an awkward style. if he and Ortiz fought now Ortiz would win easily.
and ortiz was always bad too, the UFC kept him from fighting Liddell so he could stay champion, Dana said so himself

there's your facts brah

my fav FIGHT, would prob be Dan Henderson vs Shogun, shit was war for five rounds. amazing fight.
i think both are past their prime, but when u take two guys who can throw and dont get knockout that are
at the same skill level its always great.

agreed on Silva's kick.

Those are the facts?
What I said was that in reality fighters don't train ALL martial arts, they just train the martial arts that have been proven most effective (in almost all cases). The only bit that varies in training is usually the stand-up, in which different camps/fighters train across boxing, kick-boxing and muay thai (in most cases). And yes of course many boxers transition to mma (never disputed that), Alessio Sakara, Chris Lytle to name a few.

YOU are wrong about the crowds, the UFC purposely doesn't have crowds of the size you mentioned as Dana White (President of the UFC) doesn't want people to be so far away that they cant tell whats going on. The most common venue to host UFC events is the MGM Grand which holds around 16 000 people, they often put on shows in Canada though and they get crowds up to 26 000. There has once in UFC history been an event in a stadium which held 50 000 people.

Yes you can argue GSP and Jones are better than Anderson, you can argue whatever the fuck you want P4P is purely opinion based, its just generally agreed Silva is the best P4P.

What do you mean Liddell was king when no-one knew his style? Are you an idiot or just worded that wrong, he had the trademark sprawl and brawl style. Everybody who fought him knew his style, he will defend your takedown and look for big looping right hands. Rampage didn't expose that, he exposed his chin (at least in the 2nd fight, havent seen the first) which had weakened with age and too many fights. You can say whatever you want about Liddell, I along with the vast majority of the mma community see Chuck as great, he's the most dominant champ to date.

You probably know more about Eminem and are a bigger fan than me, personally I don't care but you definitely dont follow mma as closely as I do nor know as much about it.

agreed on all bout the Liddell thing, he didnt expose his chin. Chins slowly take less damage over time and fighters develop glass-jaw. thats why fighters like Shogun and Liddell go down so easily now, and Fedor and Big Nog who had never been knocked out suddenly get Ko'd every fight.

idc who knows more bout Em. but i know for a fact i have more MMA knowledge. ive watched multiple organizations for years, UFC strikeforce, EliteXC, Afflication, Tapout, Shark, DREAM, Pride etc
i have practiced the sport myself for three years, training in Jui-jitsu, wrestling, aikido, boxing, judo, etc
ive trained with UFC Marcus Davis and been in magazines.

your lucky if you know half of what i do bro

Maybe, but the beat really takes the epicness away from it. Should have used Go to Sleep, that'd be different. When the beat drops it's sick.
