This is an interesting look at things actually, OP.

Hmmm... I doubt it. I think it would appear that he turned into a physco junkie. I think for me all his albums are like a journal of his life. That's what has me growing fonder of each one he puts out. ( not so much the colaberations, not that they aren't good) I feel like I grew up with him in an odd way. So backwards would be odd, and in my opinion...I think after recovery it would have all gone down hill.

Just my opinion thou... :coffee:

If Eminem came out with this shit first, he never would've even been on my radar...at least not until TES were to come out. Then it would be kind of like the Charlie Sheen effect...never gave a shit about him before, but after Feb/March 2011, I was hooked on his interviews.

Thanks, I knew some people would understand where I was coming from. Some of these posters seem to be too focused on the black and white that is reality, and not wondering about how things could've happened.

I feel the same way as you. I feel like I've grown up with Eminem, and seeing him in a more mature place now feels consistent with myself being in a more mature place now. But you can't deny that if Eminem were to have debuted with a song style that is similar to No Love or Stay Wide Awake, in 1999 people would have been shocked with the level of expertise that is evident in those songs. Though the older style of Em's is more "him", and most of us enjoy it more, I think really his overall talent has greatly improved. Back then, it was him having fun and learning, now it's him using all that knowledge he picked up to try and write masterpieces; I imagine it is less fun for him now, which is why that's reflected in our enjoyment of his music.

I didn't understand any part of your statement(s)? How about I keep smoking marijuana as I freely choose to, and you learn to communicate coherently. Once you learn to do that sober, well, then you still got some catching up to do because apparently I can do it stoned.

I can see this. I think TES was a huge boost to his fanbase anyway. Either way you look at his career, it really lands right in the middle so that era I feel would've been close to the same. But personally (and I love MMLP and SSLP btw), I think TES was a great improvement over SSLP when it comes to overall production and overall composition. However, though Relapse and Recovery are not as strong lyrically, I think they are both just as strong as TES when it comes to overall composition / level of talent that was involved in creating the record, which is why if you reversed his career, we might have seen interesting results.

Orrrrr you could stop smoking, that's if you didn't understand that post... I'll break it down for you simply Jeff

Eminem says "From Infinite down to the last Relapse album he's still shitting" in Not Afraid on Recovery

You following..?

In your hypothetical situation, Recovery would be his debut album

Also Infinite would be his last album and relapse would be his second...Therefore Em's line (in his debut album) wouldn't make sense.

Considering his random reference to that lyric, I had no idea it was even a lyric he was quoting. I thought he was just quoting me or someone else in the topic improperly. Now I do see what he was trying to point at however. Unfortunately, I think you and him both forgot to read the rest of the content of this post - I'm not discussing lyrics, I understand those won't make sense backwards. Open your mind.

I just thought we were all enough of a stan here to assume you would know. But yeah all good.

Yeah I do agree with you here and got the idea of the post, it's stupid just picking lyrics that wouldn't be compatible. I already made a post earlier about it :coffee:

If I would've read it without the [optional extras], I probably would've read it right/noticed the flow, but I didn't really look at it that way. And yeah, trust me I'm just as guilty of a Stan.
