Didnt see one good argument over there as to their retarded claims that eminem is a whack emcee. Most intelligible thing I saw was that some said they simply could not relate well to his music which atleast they are just being honest instead of questioning his talent, but most were using stupid arguments like "he fell off" or "hes corny" and then naming him outside the top 20 emcees just to try and hate.

Please.. what greats havent fallen off somewhat and rappers who constantly talk about their drugs, partying, money, and gangbanging are the real corny ones. They sound like repetitive dumbasses who are simply too lazy, cowardly, or unoriginal to talk about anything else other than what every other rapper has proven can work. Most of these guys are out there selling an image with decent vocals/flow, not their talent which is extremely limited if not non-existent. Its easy to be a success when you can simply mass produce a formula that has been done thousands of times before. No one can say Eminem does that. He founded his own road to success with his own unique style. This is what sets him ahead of the curve with only a select few rappers who can even compete. The people who deny that are jealous idiots who like to bury their head in the sand.

Or as one poster over there so eloquently put it. "A cracker will never be top 5. Not with hip hop, y'all stole rock & roll. Hip hop is our culture. Fuck the whiteboy..." This is where I stopped reading.

^^ To the last two posters, the OP overstated greatly by saying that the black community by and large will never respect eminem because that just isnt true. He found a random message board sample and tried to act like that speaks for the whole when it clearly doesnt. Most black kids Ive talked to like eminem and at the very least respect his talents as a rapper.

What IS true is that the average white fan is more likely to appreciate eminem's music to a greater degree than the average black fan does. These are factual generalizations based on who eminem's music is most popular among. Obviously individually they dont mean a damn thing, but I would say that generally speaking black people respect eminems music a bit less than white people do. So the OP exaggerated a whole lot, but there is still some truth in what he's saying.

They really just kept saying the same shit over and over. I can't understand why they don't at least acknowledge that Em has true talent as a rapper. They make him out like he's worse than Lil Wayne or someone like they...they actually probably believe that too.

I don't think they did. Regardless, it was a pretty weak point.

Firstly, the point of Lello's post flew well above your head.

Secondly, what I got from your post is "it's not racist for Eminem to not be in black people's top X lists". Well of course this is true. But If people were disregarding him and saying he is shit without any justification it'd be pretty hard to say their isn't racist connotations there.

And with the tapes? Of course him being young and 'foolish' is relevant you dipshit. As earlier stated, you are a moron if you think that proves he's a racist

saying that blacks dont respect em is false and im pretty sure they know hes a hella of an mc. i dont think blacks really relate to his music much. a lot of blacks or even mexicans in the hood grow up in broken homes and a mom is all they have, em had a bad relationship with his mom and dissed her in some tracks. im not dissin em cuz hes just telling his life story but i dont think most blacks really connect with his subject matter like most whites do.

ive never heard my black friends talk about em or anything and the same can be said about my white friends about Pac, they dont like Pac for the most part cuz he was always rapping about the hood or the struggle for black ppl.. im from a broken home and i hated the songs that em dissed his mom in, cuz i owe my mom errthing thats why i relate to Pac so much cuz i grew up poor as fuck in a broken home

ems is easily one of the greatest ever.. his accomplishments prove that

I agree with the OP somewhat, even though I do think he is respected by credible black people such as other artists and people in the music industry. No one can really deny his talent.

But some people from the hip-hop community get turned off from his 'corny' singles and also not being able to relate to his music as much as someone like biggie for an example.

Biggie Rapped about selling crack-cocaine, having luxerry and materalism from selling drugs, having fast cars, jewels, Rapped about pimping and disrespecting women etc

Now nothing againist Biggie he did do all those thinge he did sell crack

But does the average person sell bricks of Cocaine and drive a Benz and own Diamonds?

Or does the average person relate to things Em Raps about like being a parent and loving your kids, growing up poor, living on welfare, relationship issues with ya partner etc?

^Yeah, you missed the point. You skipped over the part about corny singles and went straight to your favorite subject.

Em's first singles are notoriously corny, which tends to turn people off.
