Even though Em has previously said that he is always working, and we presume that he is always working on solo material now (as in, always recording)... I do still think there is reason to be excited here as besides him saying he's 'always working' - only when an album is on its way or when he's ready for his next project do statements like this start surfacing from people around him.

What's most exciting is the fact that Dennis Dennehy put out a statement to specifically let people know that Em is focusing on 'his music'. If it was just another day at the office then there would be no particular reason for them to get Dennis to put a statement like this out.

So between that and Royce mentioning it, I think a solo album is coming.

Prior to the 'Southpaw statement' I would have said that I wouldn't expect a new album until at least 2013 from the way things looked, and especially because I can't imagine Em wanting or being silly enough to bombard all over Slaughterhouse's release time period with new solo work.

But, considering SH are coming in June, and considering this statement has been released now... I think they're thinking the hype surrounding Em will now begin to build up and compliment the SH release, and then perhaps Em's next album will be here by the end of 2012!
