Do you mean that he is a sell out? I don't think you do, but that's some valid points you just made. But this is long time before Wayne even made it big, so that wasn't a matter, I think. There's something else, maybe the label wanted to maintain a status quo or some shit.
Looking at the scenario now, it about money and status.
