The subject-matter and style and delivery, and flows and voices of Relapse are what make the album for me; I LOVE the cadences and styles on the album, and find it all very addictive; and I love the verbose and overly descriptive writing and graphic ideas.

Those things aren't a flaw for me, they are the pluses.

You are the type of person that likes Eminem no matter how or what he raps about. You always have your ways of justifying everything.

What nonsense.

So because you disagree with me about Relapse; because YOU don't like it, you conclude that anyone who does like it must just be convincing themselves they do because it's Em?

Ehh, no. Stop being a simple minded bigot.

I dislike lots of Em material; and I personally get sick of his introspective, self-obsessive material now, and have criticized MANY songs and some of his new direction. I've said many times that his personal life content is a snore-fest and uncreative to me; so if I liked him no matter what he rapped about, how would that criticism be possible? your claim = disproved.

I genuinely love Relapse, and have since day one; I'm not 'justifying' it, I'm expressing my GENUINE love for the material. Just because you dislike it doesn't mean everyone does, stop being a retard.

Im just saying all your explanations are so precise and thorough. If i write one little thing, you reply with an essay. I guess that's what you like to do.

I'd hardly call five paragraphs an essay.

I was just responding to your claim that I pretend or convince myself to like anything Em puts out, because it's Em. Which; as anybody who knows me here knows - is simply not true.

Now before I respond to your claims I want to say thank you for the awesome and well informed response! Now on to the matter at hand, now the statements that I have made seem to be taken out of context as they appear to be creating some type of misunderstanding in which I thought my statements wouldn't be true or clear enough to understand. When I stated the following of not letting silly reasons-(key words) like the accent or subject matter get to us means simply the fact that many who hate Relapse use those two reasons to attack or bash the album without truly understanding the album and its theme. I also meant as not letting those silly reasons get to us-(key word) as in not allowing those reasons to blind our acknlowedgement as well as understanding ofRelapse as we really like Relapse, me and you being included in that group. I did not mind the accents and the subject matter, that's what made the album so creative as Eminem was trying to tell multiple stories of different in charachter serial killers. As you can see what I clearly meant was the silly reasons fans use for justifying their hate for the album, I never hinted nor did I ever give reason to make people believe that I am against the accents and subject matter, if that was the case I wouldn't have given the album the praise it deserves. :D

There's nothing wrong with explaining himself. That's the difference between him being intelligent, and you being stupid.

The thing is, i don't think that it's really an "accent", it's more like a flow imo. i can't really imagine how SWA would work without the flow/accent on there.

How am I being stupid? I was just saying that he was being superfluous. I prefer a nice and Pithy response, if you will.

It's all subjective to what a person likes hearing people can't help what they don't like subject matter wise and what they do like. I think thread starter was saying not his opinion on the subject matter but generally how people felt about the subject matter on Relapse. It's not something Eminem hasn't done before though he had songs that were on Relapse a decade ago it's somethin he done so much in the past that kinda subject matter
