I don't really think this was a hate worthy comment. Em has been around a long time and for me listening to him as a kid and still listening to his new stuff now does make me feel old looking back (even though i'm 22). Perfectly reasonable comment imo.

Same as fans of artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan etc must feel when they look back at there older stuff. Obviously Em is a bit younger but 39 is pretty old for a rapper.

As for whether I think he should be on Amercian Idol.....No. As mentioned before maybe as a guest judge or something? I dunno. I think he's way too shy to do that unless he was there as a character or something.

Personally I think it's a bit different for hip-hop though, maybe its because of a lot of rap's content (swearing, violent themes, sex) and because as a whole it's only really existed for all of what 40 years? When I think of Em being 39 and Jay-Z being 42 etc they seem old to me within the genre. Then again grandmaster flash is still at it at 54.

About Eminem or Jay Z being old within the genre that would be another debate. Obv hip hop as a music genre is much more recent than Rock or Pop...so people tend to be more young. There was big rock stars in the 70's, that still are active, not sure how many rappers over 50 are still active, but probably almost none.

Well Eminem music contains alotta singing from him almost every hook he does he sings and he also made a song where he was just singing and it's something he is good at and praised for by his fans so i don't see why not. Dudes been singing every hook since The Eminem Show album and most his fans love it

Being able to sing has nothing to do with whether or not you can judge someone else's singing. None of the loser judges they've ever had on that piece of shit show could sing.

That said, Eminem needs to focus on getting back to making great songs and forget about everything else.
