You do realize that song was meant as a joke right??

Relapse was unbearable because of those voices, sorry just my opinion. I liked the concepts he came up with and Dre's production but them accents hit me like Nails scratching a chalk board. It's a shame too cause when you read those lyrics just as text there ill as fuck.

Deja Vu is still my favorite song he's done since the Comeback tho

For the first few listens of relapse, Accents seemed to be weird & awkward to listen to. But when it started growing on me it grew like a crack addiction. LOVE his voice, rhyming & flow in Relapse. Now, i would honestly bust a nut if i hear a new eminem song with them accents.

It's possible that Em does appreciate the accents but reckons that everyone else thought they were wack.

Which is understandable given the amount of criticism he received even on here, at the time.

A few months later and suddenly everyone loved the accents. It's because when everything is put in perspective you can see the accents in the context of the rest of his work - i.e. an innovative, interesting phase but not the way he was going to rap for the rest of his career.

I have said repeatedly on this forum that the only relapse song where the accent annoys me is Same Song and Dance. It doesn't bother me on any other track and I quite like it on Bagpipes from Baghdad.
