I don't think it's the label or Paul that influences Eminem's decision. He was working with whomever he wanted with his first couple of albums. It's in the beginning when the label tries to control you because you aren't proven yet. Eminem is the biggest selling artist of the past decade, he has more control than people think and probably more than he wants you to think. He wants you to believe he doesn't care about business stuff and sales and that's all his management and all he wants to do is rap. It takes a lot of heat off of him but it's crap. I don't believe a man who has overcome what he has is built of weak character and lets other people makes decisions for him.

I think some people would rather believe it's Paul and Jimmy not Em who's making the decision to work with pop stars, an overrated producer like Alex Da Kid and regularly turn down respectable rappers. It seems so opposite of the old Em (which people seem to want back) but clearly that era is long gone.

@Slumshady99 haha. Man gets fired wants to hear from real boss and wants to insure his character is rep correctly.

Sounds to me like he's saying X considers Eminem to be the "real boss" in the situation and he wants to know if the reason they aren't close anymore is because of Paul's influence considering they had words on the phone when Paul let him go.

It seems like Em and X stopped talking when Paul dropped him so X wants to know why, is it because of something Paul said about him? X was probably hoping Em would call and at least say 'hey man your situation with Paul doesn't reflect our friendship.' He should stop caring because clearly they have but sometimes that's hard to do. It always leaves you wondering why when a person stops talking to you.

When I first heard this song I didn't know what was going on. I really hope Eminem and Xzibit don't or didn't have a beef since they are my 2 favorite rappers. Those 2 introduced hip hop to me. Really hope they link up again but still I think it's more X/Paul then X/Em.
