DJ Kool Herc was just a turntable DJ, All he did was scratch up James Brown records. Same with Grandmaster Flash. Kurtis Blow was the first rapper signed to a record deal. It depends on how you want to look "hip hop". LL Cool J, Scarface, Ice-T, Beastie Boys and a bunch others came a long years before Pac, Biggie, Nas, Rakim, Jay-z.

I find it stupid how Em is called the father of hip hop. When I think of father I think of someone who has been around since hip hop came about and hip hop has been around longer than Em has.

No because Em didn't invite me.

Agree, if you're looking at Father of Rap. But I can see why people reference to the likes of Afrika Bambaataa and DJ Kool Herc to be the "Fathers of Hip-Hop" as it was the turnablism of the 70's which spurred on the culture of Hip-Hop in the South Bronx, right?

Lol, I think they could've thought of another title to give Em though. Perhaps, Master? idk...
