Like as if he was under control of everything.

And every album got it's advantages tbh, SSLP showcased his wit, MMLP showcased his demented mentality and how many boundaries he can push and TES showcased his true musical talent.

But they're both 10/10 albums

It's funny because I read a review the other day.. It said something like:

"Sure, TES has some great songs like Sing For The Moment, but for every great song there are like 2 or 3 "Soldier" or "Till I Collapse""

I was like.. Really?

MMLP

And for the record, SSLP edges out Eminem Show by a hair for me.

I gotta say MMLP purely because of the raw content and lyricism. But in terms of production and overall artistry TES takes the cake.

TES is my personal favorite probably because of SFTM, TIC, White America and Without Me
But they're both 10/10 albums

I actually agree with this 100% :y:

I think if you were to ask Em which album was truly groundbreaking, he would say the Marshall Mathers LP but there is no denying the fact that he'd concede that The Eminem Show was the perfect balance of lyricism and artistry as a musician in his career - it truly was. The beats on TES are a lot richer and denser than on the MMLP and the way the beat would follow HIM on tracks was just so gravitating.

I rarely see two posts like these that I agree with more :y:

It may not be what we want."

This one is ridiculously hard for me as TES was the first album I got of Em's as a 12 year old kid and thrashed for months on end and felt like he was talking directly to me on a lot of levels.

Where as, looking back on MMLP now I have a huge amount of respect for the album and listen to it a lot more these days then TES. So really my vote depends on what means more to me or what I listen to more now. It's too hard haha

Opinion changes every day. Today it is TES.

I think SSLP is my favorite album, the story telling on the SSLP is something overlooked a lot.

tes
I'm only entertaining you
My goal is to stimulate, making you high
And take you and I
To a place you can't see
But I believe you can fly
I don't mean nobody harm, I'm just partying
I'm not your dad, not your mom, not your guardian
Just a man who's on the mic
So let me entertain you...
