pop·u·lar·i·ty/ˌpäpyəˈlaritē/
Noun: The state or condition of being liked, admired, or supported by many people.

Recovery was the best selling album of 2010 in the United States and number 2 worldwide in 2010 just behind Lady Gaga's Fame (Monster) album.

Nothing to do with which album is considered to be better as you are discussing popularity.

Kanye West's College Dropout is superior to Encore yet Encore sold 6 million albums worldwide in the space of a month whereas The College Dropout sold 2.3 million in that entire year does that make Encore the better album? hell no, never but it was more popular.

I'm pretty sure Kanye writes his own rhymes...

mbdtf didn't even debut at top 15 in MOST of Euro charts... like a lot of Kanye's albums and eminem always sells more than him when they release an album the same year.

Marshall is wayyyyyy more popular

MBDTF was a piece of art, a musically classic, but for me the Recovery album was better in term of lyrics and rap.

Lmao.

tbh dude I feel bad for this generation of teenagers, they grow up listening to bs like kanye and wayne on MTV is all they've ever known, I grew up listening to Em, 50, Dre, I grew up listening to bands like Linkin Park, Evanescence, Audioslave, music was so good back in the 90's and early 2000, even pop artists like Britney and Christina Aguilera were somewhat decent, but now most mainstream is garbage and I truely feel bad for these kids, I hope when they grow up they open their eyes :b:

Yfw when Kanye was before 50

rise how can you call kanye garbage and praise 50 cent :''( even if you can make an argument for kanye being an average lyricist, he's still easily better lyrically than 50 cent and LEAGUES above him creatively/artistically.
